    Hi

I'm new so please be gentle!!

I bought the MaxFactor Minerals foundation (12.71) and thought I'd see if the GWP would go through even though I hadn't spent £15 and it didn't beep so the SA popped it in the bag anyway. It was the little black glittery bag with foundation, nail varnish, lipstick & eyeliner.

If anybodys brave they could maybe see if it goes through even if you don't buy anything from MF.

I tried it with Loreal but that beeped as I had only spent 9.99 so she didnt give me that one.

    Sarah

I tried to get the MF GWP today with a 10.00 spend, but the till beeped:o SA said It would not go through unless I spent 15.00.

Has anyone seen/got the new olay definity GWP? it looks very similar to the lola rose MF GWP. The only difference is the colour and contents. It's purple:D and it contains the following:
    • Olay Definity Intense Anti-Ageing Cream with SPF 15 15ml
    • £5 Olay Definity Eye Illuminator Voucher
    • Your guide to beautiful eyes booklet
    • Max Factor Kohl Eyeliner Pencil Mini, Black
    • 5 piece Eye Make-up Brush Set
    • Beauty tweezers
    • Eye Lash Curlers

I have seen the NEW OLAY GWP, how much do you have to spend to get it? I saw some posh looking OLAY DEFINITY CREAM in a posh looking box that was on REDUCED at the DEWSBURY store. It was on the top shelf where they had all the creams. If someone bought one of these, would they get a GWP for free?

Don't be frightened at all. Some SA's are complete trolls, but most of them are super nice. At the end of the day, if the product is not right for you, you are entitled to a refund.

Thanks for all the pointers. Have to say though that I'm not the nervous type when it comes to troll SAs! I've worked in retail and I'm old enough to remember Boots having seats for the customers at the tills, ie old enough not to stand any nonsense from folk that should be trained to know better. I just like to be 100% sure I know what the routine is, that's all! ;)

  • My MIL ordered a replacement card well over a month ago, long story she had £30.xx on card thought she'd lost it so got new one which had £8.xx on it (I think) anycase after speaking to CS they said they would cancel both her old card (lost) and new one & add both lots of points to another new one. When logging into to .com it's still only showing the £8.xx one so does this mean it's not even been sorted yet & would require another call to CS?

take it back to fort kinnaird i think this is near to you and i've never had any problems there taking stuff back-usually just go to the main tills and they sort it out.
boots policy is no receipt exchange only so might be handy to have your item for exchange picked out ready.
also swing by the pharmacy there and ask them for hedrin on the minor ailments as i've had it there before without any problems just say that you dont really like using chemical treatments too often

Has anyone managed to get the rimmel GWP with points? tried at two tills in Leicester today and it would not let me pay with points! SA seemed bemused but had no way of over-riding it so I left it as I was holding up the biggest Q ! If you were there .....................sorry!
Will try this week as it looks lovely!
Got the OOTW for DD from her GM and made it up to £50 for the points. Also got the l'oreal GWP as I needed a concealer .Not a bad days Bootsing but once again more of my money in their tills than in any other shop today !

I remember the seats too! Also, I remember in the Dim and Distant Days Past, Boots had a lending library. Anyone else remember this. I seem to remember Julius Caesar in the queue ....................
