Survived the day in Rhyl, dont know who was worse for maoning dd or father.....apart from lunch in the pub....the mere mention of "popping into Woolworth" anyone would of thought world war 3 had broke out.
On the positive side the panto was excellent, we saw "Sleeping Beauty" @ Pavillion theatre in Rhyl, got Ruth madoc, so sad but was exicted as she did her fancy "hi-de-hi" and Sonia.

hello,
I have just found this thread. Havent had time to read through it all yet. I have managed to be about 75% xmas neutral for 2008 at my rough calculations.
I am all organised for xmas this year, all my cards are wrote, my xmas presents are wrapped and hidden under the bed. Now all i have to do is cart all 29 presents to school for my DS school friends on monday morning.
I have already started saving for xmas next year. Im not one for buying presents in advance in the sales cos there tastes change and i always see something else that is more suited a few weeks later. I shall have to change my ways.
Still struggling to get my head around quidco and surveys etc, i always forget to use them. I know slap my wrists - im throwing money away. Any tips on the surveys etc to get me started would be very much appreciated.
I am amazed at how organised i am, im usually a last minute type of person.
I shall also be trying to have a money neutral wedding. The idea sounds good in principle, but in reality i am unsure, but im not one to give up and i like a good challenge.
My DD was a money neutral ebay baby. I sold my unwanted items to buy all the baby stuff she needed, so im hoping the principle will be the same for our wedding although a wedding is bigger target to hit.
We are getting married in florida in 2010, going for 2 weeks with 2 kids. Not booked anything yet, waiting to see what deals we can get. Plus i need to so loads more research to make sure im getting the best deal.
I will be giving up smoking in january (my 4th attempt) and i then plan to live on £10 or less a week after all essential bills, mortgage, food etc are paid for.
Now all i have to do is convince DF to cut down his spending too, i think this will be the biggest challenge yet.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

Party went well yesterday, just got a bit of clearing up left to do then can concentrate on whats left for Christmas.
Hope everyones ok, and having loads of fun, you all must be busy as I had Computer switched off all day yesterday (ARRGGG!!! - withdrawal symptons) and I only had one page to catch up on this morning.

Today ... I can't really do anything. So I pledge not to lose my temper all day long, to finish my book, and to do something useful and householdy.
Simple.
Edit: There's a code on the codes board for one pound delivery at Hawkin's. It means you don't get Quidco, but if you're not spending much it should still be a better saving.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
Today I am pledging to make ten more christmas cards, before I go on the annual xmas chinese. That will be killing another few birds with one stone as I will write them all and deliver them at the restaurant. Lucky OHs at work so I can get some peace to do them all, with xmas carols blaring in the background.
See you all later£23366/ £39206.92 DFD Nov 20160 -
Good morning everyone.. I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. Had a NIGHTMARE of a weekend. Allow me to elaborate:
+ Daughter has now got the 'bad' flu temp of 40 and was like having a new born. Woke up all night screaming muttering something about seatbelts. She is clingy at the best of times
+ Toilet is blocked (bloody Andrex) Unblocked it and it splashed on my face (GROSS) used it this morning.. BLOCKED!!
+ My parents picked up my order from Tescos. Two boxes.. Both completely smashed to pieces. The kids toys are in there and they are now out of stock. Called customer care and she said the two things that ARE in stock can be resent but I need to take them back to store for a refund and then she will charge my card again. Not really doing me a favour then are you? Oh and I would take them back to store except you need my card.. But I had the things delivered to my parents store.. 30 miles away.
+ I had two secret santa parcels. In my ill rush It now appears I labelled and sent the wrong parcel to the wrong person. So now I got to sort all that out and it is more expense.
Ever feel like you just want to start again???:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0
