OK I'm officially off bedrest, thankfully. I didn't do much of actually being in bed, but I sat still a lot and that was enough to comprehensively bore the pants off me (which now I think of it is probably what got me in this mess to begin with...).

    Today I pledge to ...
Make a list of things I need to buy
Make a list of things I need to do
    Book a new flight home
Try and organise getting to Ireland as well
    Banking stuff
Check up on my missing La Senza Quidco transaction

    Only 15:51 and I've completed my pledge for today:j :j :j
I'm a very good girl - and have just rewarded myself with a nice big muffin!

Wont be pledging over the weekend, as I have DB & SIL (and parents) staying for a Christmas get together - although I'll miss Saturday night, as I'm at a Xmas function with my girlyfriends (hurray!)

I'm so excited - we're nearly there (are we nearly there yet, Mum?)

    Jxxxx:D

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

    Big hugs to everyone

jordanshannon - I know how you're feeling - this will be my first christmas without my mam (she was my best friend too). Stay busy and keep genuine friends and family close. I'm really going over the top with everything this year cos if I didn't I think I'd get depressed. My daughter keeps me busy and I'm trying to keep all the traditions mam made. I'll be raising a glass or two to her this christmas.

My pledge today was to buy all the ingredients to make some sweets from my nigella cook book which I have done so I am a good girl. I had to go to several different shops for amaretti biscuits and mini marshmallows. yum.

Done! All done! Nice list for me!!

And now I'm going to eat a salt and vinegar crisp sandwich, and then we're going out to an Advent event down the street. Germany is good at Christmas, although the cost of crisps that aren't paprika flavoured is horrific.

  • Evening all!

Today not only have I fulfilled my pledge of organising the inlaws visit before christmas, but I have also bought my christmas clothes (all except socks), & got a of things for christmas eve hamper (just a couple of things on ebay left to get, if I win them).

I am totally worn out at the mo so tomorrows pledge is to make a list of whats left that I need to get, when/where to get them from & whats left to do. Also to REST, apart from lists, making sure the kids are safe, a few cuppas & meals are cooked I am dooing diddly squat tomorrow!!!

Big hugs to all who need them - Christmas can be a hard time when you've lost loved ones, specially the 1st christmas. Try & remember the good times, stay as positive as you can & have a good cry, it does you good.
You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground

About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D
  • I'm having a really off day today :( the christmas spirit has drained away. I dunno:confused: , i've been feeling funny all day, just quiet you know. I dunno i just think its everything, this is my first Christmas without my dad, and the worst part about it is that my family have been replaced by some woman and her son. I don't want to see him Christmas day as i know he will upset me and make excuses for his actions. Everything has just become so flat and depressing. Still Christmas soon :D
And tomorrow's a new day, i will be feeling better then. Silly really, i guess.
    ..xx

    Hey JordanShannon

So sorry to hear you're feeling blue, thinking of you. I don't know your situation but I lost my dad nearly 5 years ago and it's always worse around special occasions - my mum re-married a year later and I still find it very difficult (I'm 37, haven't lived at home for 20 years, been with my hubby for 15 years, but it still gets me sometimes!). It's never silly to feel down it happens to all of us. Big hugs. xx
  • (((((((((((((((((HUGS to Everyone who needs them))))))))))))))))))))))

Not stoped the past few hours, managed a manic shop in Sainsbury's (ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG it was so busy  ) but on the plus side I got to try the Caramel and Mint Baileys and Terry's Choc Orange with Hazelnut (yummy!!!)

So I think I have done quite well with my pledge today, keeping up on the Tread and posting LOL (I normally forget :o )

Party Prep going well, I have mini Sausages and Veg Rolls in the oven cooking, Snacks all put on table ready to open tomorrow, Balloons blown up...but still got loads to do so better get on

    Cup of coffee first though!!;)
