:) I made the nice list
and tomorrow I get to go guilt free shopping (might return his xmas presents and spend the money on me :P)

I have a question does anyone elses local Round Table have a Father Christmas come round the streets on the back of a pick up truck with lights and music?
Ours came round tonight and I found my self stood in the street smiling so hard as the little boy next door legged it down the path to get a wave from some bloke .
Happens every year here but never heard any of my mates across the country mention it?
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

yes! we get it too phunkles :) i used to get woked up especially for it when I was little.in fact that could be a page in my journal :) havent seen him yet this year!

jordanshannon - was a little confused from your post but what I did get from it was that you needed a big organised *hug* :) why dont you think of some new traditions for this year to distinguish it from previous years? do something you wouldnt normally do at xmas and make it a new tradition...like baking gingerbread men or going to a carol concert :)

    Xmas Saver!
I'm having a really off day today :( the christmas spirit has drained away. I dunno:confused: , i've been feeling funny all day, just quiet you know. I dunno i just think its everything, this is my first Christmas without my dad, and the worst part about it is that my family have been replaced by some woman and her son. I don't want to see him Christmas day as i know he will upset me and make excuses for his actions. Everything has just become so flat and depressing. Still Christmas soon :D
And tomorrow's a new day, i will be feeling better then. Silly really, i guess.
    ..xx

Sweeheart its not silly, at the end of the day ur dad was ur dad, I guessing the woman and her son r were ur dads partner etc. The first xmas without a loved one is hard, and regardless of what anyones say, if you want to do something different this xmas then do it. Is their friends you can go to? Please dont do this alone, were all here if you need anything. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Jammy my 21year old sister nearly knocked the poor collection door knocking person over as she bounded out the door to wave :| of course im much more mature and was 2 seconds behind her after pulling shoes on :)
I love the Round Table Father Christmas
Were we used to live used to publish in the evening paper where the Father Christmas would be on that evening - so people could plan around seeing him :)
Thats one of my favorite Christmas traditions - would be strange for it not to happen

  • I have done so much today - I dont know where to begin.

All the time I spent yesterday creating an angel outfit was well spent as she did a grand job being 'Whoops a Daisy Angel' did all the actions and got her own round of applause - just great - didnt cry once but was the proudest in the room!:j

Bought all the food for my weekend away - made a mountain of cookies to take with us, along with 2 huge cakes and a big pot of chilli - there are 18 of us going away so they probably wont last too long.

I am so sorry to hear about everyones bad luck - its good to share and there are lots of people here who support you and will listen when you need to let off some steam:mad:

Right my pledge for this whole weekend is to enjoy myself, start feeling festive and relax - there is always next week to get organised.

Take care everyone - will make sure I have a couple of hours free on Monday night to catch up!!
