I'm glad someone else picked up about the 02 card, I have the cash manager card on the way to me today! I was sure there must be SOMETHING in the small print about a charge, but I can't see it anywhere!!

I'll definitely be using mine for online purchases from now on!
  • That sounds great but what about charges ABROAD? Hong Kong in particular.
  • Has anyone got the Paypal Prepaid Card?

  • Yup got a PAYPAL card....been using it for a while now..

  • Thanks Darren, I must admit the blurb on it makes it sound quite good and quite a low initial fee too

  • Yes....I did make a initial mistake of not getting one through my existing PAYPAL account and therefore couldn't top it up through my account.

Got another one and now OK....
Topup through my PAYPAL account and it costs nothing....

    thanks
  • I have a virgin prepaid card which I use purely for online purchases and have found it ok.

The fact that it is not embossed doesn't bother me as no-one ever sees it! The only time I ever use it is in the express till at Tesco. I did try to use it in a 'pay at pump' but you can't do it. I've looked in the terms and conditions but can't see it

I need a prepaid visa or mastercard credit card to pay for an online service in dollars. Has anybody got any recommendations? I only need it for a one off payment, so would like to avoid monthly fees if possible. In case you're curious, I want to get deluxe membership with Webkinz for my kids for Christmas.

I have a hosting business and have to pay dedicated servers, advertising etc. in USD and use FairFX USD card. It is free if you apply from the link here: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/prepaidcards/

Also no monthly fees and a very good exchange rate.
  • Thanks fawinds, that's exactly the kind of thing I was after! You're a star!
