What have your parents taught you about money?

My mum taught me the value of money and to save for everything you wanted. Fix things if they're broken and not to throw things away or just to buy something if you don't need it.
(parents are divorced)
My dad had the big house, fancy cars, 4 foreign holidays a year etc but never saved towards doing it.
My mum's the one with savings and is financially comfortable but i live like my dad. I've got the sports car, big leather sofas, designer clothes, plasma tv, nice house etc. yeah i'm in debt doing it but it's under control and i'm still young(ish). Even though my mum taught me the value of money i enjoy my lifestyle.0 -
No matter how well you do in your life, there'll always be a bucket of sand big enough to put your head in!0
