  • I signed up for 1 yesterday and it is showing as pending £120!

How long does it take to show as 'pending' on your cashback account?

Seems like they've changed the terms so cashback is after 8 months.

  • I think I'll sign up via rpoints (still a 4 month deal) and get them to match the cashback. They've never failed to pay out for me in the past, even when they say they haven't received the cashback from the company.

I already have a PAC for my orange PAYG and was about to transfer to use my Blyk sim as my main sim (held back because there seem to have been some problems porting in)...this at least gives me 4 months free usage, and potentially some extra cashback too.

I was reading some of Vodafone's Ts&Cs and they give you a 14 day evaluation period so if you wanted to, sign up for the deal and if, for whatever reason, Top Cashback doesn't track it, you can just cancel the contract within your 14 days without any repercussions on you apart from paying for the calls you made and possibly the return postage of a sim card!

Won't it take 4 or 8 months to see if quidco pay out?

So now you get an average sim only deal, stump up 8 months payments and hope you get cashback. Not worth the hassle, may as well get a good phone company cash back deal using quidco/topcashback etc.

Too much publicity from MSE I'm afraid.

In the past 18 months or so I've gone through Quidco to buy PAYG handsets on Vodaphone - one cashback tracked and was paid, the other didn't and the submitted enquiry was refused by Vodaphone, so getting the dosh can be a gamble.

I've signed up for a contract rather than the SIM offer (get our hands on a Nintendo Wii that way) which, if we also include the cash back (which is tracking after 18 hours) more or less gives us either a free Wii or a free contract (depending which way you look at it) - given that we are in the market for both then we're quite happy - perhaps not in the spirit of the original post though.;)

  • My first time on the forum. Tried to register for the deal last night but didnt have the PAC code Vodafone were asking for so phoned them tonight for it. Vodafone were very awkward about giving me it even though I was still staying with Vodafone. I had verbally cancelled one of two phones on the account a couple of weeks ago then yesterday emailed them but he said he had no record of it and that I would need to write in cancelling, which would take a couple of weeks. Told him I would miss the deal. Was put on hold while he spoke to his colleagues and came back to say that Vodafone knew nothing about this deal and that it sounded 'dodgy'. After seeing the message on the vodadeal have decided against applying but can anyone pass comment on whether this is normal practice to get a PAC code or just them trying not to lose a customer? Will probably now just change to an ASDA PAYG unless anyone has any better ideas for me?

I would have thought you could have put in the order and then on a later date given them the pac.
  • Well I signed up for the deal when it was showing a 4 month qualification period the £120 has tracked and Topcashback assure me that if I signed up whilst that deal was showing that it should be honoured so fingers crossed !
I have recieved over £250 to date from Topcashback so unlike some others I do trust them
