How much do eternity rings cost!?
Also, are you supposed to be married before you give an eternity ring?0 -
Eternity rings will vary in price according to what metal the ring is made of..

Thanks - have posted this in moneysaving in relationships forum, but thought I'd try my luck here also:
I have read that an eternity ring may be given on the birth of your first child. My OH is due to give birth in one week and I think this would make a great present. However, we are not married and not even engaged! Although I have not asked her to marry me she has said she does not want an engagement ring - I think she feels that spending a couple of thousand on jewellery is a waste of money! She has also said she does not want to get married until the kid(s) are older so they can play a part in the wedding.
So do you think an eternity ring to celebrate our first child would be suitable? Anything abnormal about my ideas!!!? And then maybe we can get married in a few years (totally missing out an engagement!) and she can have a matching wedding ring. Please let me know what you think!
Cheers

I think that an eternity ring would be a really thoughtful and lovely gift and has the sentiment that you will love and support the person you give it too for eternity so in my opinion its a lovely gesture.

How about getting her a 4d scan so you get a chance to see the baby in detail before he/she arrives? Sometimes you can also get a dvd of the scan and some pictures of the baby. I think that would be nice as it's something you could show to your baby when he/she is a few years old.Married since 28/04/2007
