Hate to say this re the foot spa but some of them have 'not to be used while pregnant' warnings. The foot soaking is fine, but some of the massaging ones there is a risk of stimulating reflexology points and prem labour

 eeek you have to be so careful these days, thanks for pointing this out!!

I think i'll still give it her though as a 'to be used after pregnant' present!

    Rikki,
If DH gave me a pillow for Christmas he'd be wearing it very tightly over his face or else served with divorce papers! Presents should be the treats in life that we never buy ourselves because we always put others needs above our own, they should never be practical boring necessities!

Wow i'm glad I didn't get you pregnant becs!! ;) :rotfl:

Someone also just sugested to me that I bought her a 'how to lose baby fat' book but I have a feeling that one might also end up int he divorce court!!!!

Oh dear, that might not be the best thing to buy as you have very cleverly realised already :D

My husband would get a slap across the head with it if he bought that for me (I'm nearly 26 weeks pregnant myself).

For me, I have told hubby not to spend too much on me this year becuase I dont really 'want' anything and I am happier getting clothes and things for our baby.

However, saying that, I do really like the jewellery idea (but then that's in my blood), especially the ones where you can add the stone or charm etc to symbolise the baby (my mum had something similar).

Just to say, a very thoughtful husband you are to ask for guidance.

All the best with the pregnancy xx

  • I was pregnant last xmas - my hubby bought me one of those pillows and I used it a lot, especially towards the end when everything aches, then for breastfeeding and now to prop my baby up on the sofa!

I also used my foot spa regularly - it's some of the oils which you can add to the water that shouldn't be used in pregnancy - just water is fine.

My hubby also bought me a Pandora charm bracelet for our wedding anniversary and bought 2 charms when the baby arrived and I've a feeling I'll be getting more this xmas.

The other thing I really appreciated was a couple of nights in a posh hotel before our lives changed forever and boy have they!!
  • hello, i'm 7months pregnant too.
Everyone has been coming up with some great ideas the cushion is a good idea i wouldnt know what to do without mine have used throughout both pregnancy's also i would LOVE one of these bags

it's a changing bag but for mums so no handbag needed as well. i think they are FAB! otherwise i'd like desperate housewives boxset, DS games and esp bubble bath bombs from LUSH they are fantastic.

    hope that helps Kelly

I was given a gorgeous charm bracelet for my b'day after my baby was born. The bracelet was from hubby and a charm from my little one. Its this one and I love it http://www.linksoflondon.com/online-shop/women/bracelets/291-sweetie-bracelet-medium.
I'm going to get new charms to add to it for various occasions etc. I've already added a charm with my baby's fingerprint on it from here http://www.smallp.co.uk/products/charm_plus_bracelet_new.php

I helped my friends hubby buy one of these for her 30th Bday and she loves it. Very pretty bracelet on its own so you could buy the bracelet first and then add the links after.

We used this website - The lady is really helpful. I am sure she could help you out.

I have just had a baby - and was 7 months pregnant last xmas and my best idea for an xmas present would be to try and treat your wife and you to have some quality time together - not sure if budget allows but tickets to see a show or something or even a weekend away.

Whilst I don't particularly agree with the premise of needing to ask anyone else what I should buy my pregnant partner for their birthday (in December) or Christmas (see http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1307731), this...

...is borderline cobblers. Maybe presents SHOULD be about "treats", but surely at least 95% of this forum is (boring) practicality?

First baby should be an eternity ring :)

Also when I was 7 months preggers at Xmas, my OH got em some lovely hard backed books and they were very enjoyable as I had the time to read them. Never finished the third one though...
