I got a A7 today, asked to do a customer view (I should note it was the quietest I have seen Argos and the cashier was more interested with her mobile phone than the transaction!) and soon as I saw it was a A7 I got it

They had 15 in stock of the A6 cat and 16 in stock of the A7 cat (Something like that anyway). So I think the figures are equal but maybe someone has one on reserve, which would mean they only have A7 in the stockroom.

    Excellent :D

I just check with an Argos till operative(!). Nothing on her till to say about substitutes therefore she said I'd definitely get an A6. I couldn't be bothered to buy/check/take back. How does the "customer view" work...ie do you have to pay *first* (or do you get to see the item first *then* pay etc?) - where do you request one (till... or customer services?)
  • Just ask for Customer View at till - they give you a ticket. You do not have to pay anything until you say you will have it. You will see straight away on the box whether is an A6 or A7.

I've done it 3 times but keep getting A6.

Note this item is not on 16 day return.

Just reserved an A6 @ my daughters work(Argos),she says often they have the same cat codes for substitutes, and the boxes have same codes on them,so just depends on which 1 the order picker chooses as to which 1 will be sent to shop floor........ :A
:T It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. :T

  • Checked online for local store and they've at least 10 in stock so I presume that it would definitely be an A6.

    not necessarily true

people have been using the code for an A6 and reciving and A7
they could have at least 10xA6 or 10xA7

    like Keith says

Thanks for this. Would make an ideal present so will give it a go.
