Ah good luck then, I was just gonna say, first i give advice and now we have friends coming from Germany and are actually staying in town ourselves!
We booked dolphin apartments in Pimlico, nearly by the river and close to Westminster, very modern and they got a bar/pool etc.
Just in case anyone else is interested,I paid 99 pounds via laterooms for the studio

I know this hotel is still at the top of your budget but WOW!!!!
The location is to die for and you've got it for about £40 more than the Premier Inn Euston on those dates! Bargain of the day and you've done her proud.
One of my favourite walks is up to Hyde Park Corner, down Constitution Hill to the Palace gates, through St.James Park then just follow the road down to Big Ben.
I'm sure your girlfriend will be impressed especially when you show her that Harrods is just around the corner. I work in the industry and I'd be impressed.

I hope you both have a fantastic time...just don't order room service Pack a couple of bottles of the good stuff to take with you.
