well done everyone for progress and coping with setbacks! Well done especially to skint spice for becoming debt free - WHOOP!
We have paid off another £2693, despite having to buy 2 cars and instruments for work. So excited to now be below the £1000 mark and should get that cleared by end of August. Just graduated so this is brilliant timing.
Thanks clearingoutmypockets for unofficially taking over the adding up role - this challende is such a fantastic motivator it would be a shame to see it fall by the wayside.
I'll check in again soon, hopefully to report a big fat ZERO :j

debt free 24th July 2009 :beer:0 -
Hello! I am number 37 of this wonderful challenge! However I am guilty of not updating my amount so I thought I'd better do it!
Unfortunately I won't be making my aim of the end of July as after I signed up for this challenge I didn't get any more shifts at the bar (2nd job) and I had counted on this income in my aim, doh! So now I have another new 2nd job which I go to every day, it will only be a few months before I'm debt freeeeeee. My guess-timate is around Nov as I didn't have a 2nd job for just over 4 months.
Well done to all who are taking part!
You can take off £1727 from my £6000 as my total is now £4273! I've also got a big chunk of money coming to me over the summer from various places! Birthday, summer work, regular jobs etc and I even should be getting a rebate on paying too much tax as I queried my tax code with HMRC! So it should come down quickly.
It certainly seems that the last few months are as frustrating as the first few months of this debt busting lark!! I just want it done with!0 -
Hi,
i just paid £42 off of a cc woop woop!! Im happy because a) its a chunck off the debt and b) it was free money from quidco (well mostly) :j

Likewise! Clear the CC first and then treat myself and Dr Dragon to a nice weekend away and salt the rest away in a savings account!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
