Debt free Olympic challenger No.11
Paid off so far: £3274.750 -
Hi all, I'm member #9 of this challenge, though I haven't really posted for ages. I have been lurking though.
I found out today that I'm not being made redundant, so it means I can keep on with the debt busting. I'm going to phone to get a full and final settlement figure for my loan, and so can wipe that off the board, leaving me with only my CC debt left, which is on 0%. Woo! It will feel good to be paying no interest on my debts, as it's just a step away from being completely debt free.
My original debt free date was July 09, which I'm not going to make, but I'm not far off, and will definitely be debt free in 2009.
Debt at LBM (17/10/08) £5727.61 Debt free date 31/08/090 -

Just thought I'd pop by for a quick catch up with everyone's progress. You've all been doing so well whilst I've taken a few months out. As a family we'd been full steam for our debt free target, but we made the massive decision to take a few months out and have a holiday. We had a fab time and it was great timing on our part. It's put us back a little, but we're still aiming for the end of 2009. I can't update our new outstanding total until pay day (25th) when I can work out our new total. It's roughly standing at £7300 at the minute, but this months payments are to go out. It's been a few steps back but well worth the delay on our dfd, for family life.
Well done everyone! I'm looking forward to starting back with a new found motivation. xNearly debt free....at last Roll on July 20100 -

I haven't been updating, but I've gone back to check when I last updated, and since then I have paid off £3668.77. So that can come off the grand total.
I think you're right about people not coming back to update, but even so £74,583.78 is a pretty impressive figure! Well done everyone.Debt at LBM (17/10/08) £5727.61 Debt free date 31/08/090 -

I know this is a little bit late, but I'd like to join in, as I WILL be debt free in 2009.
I have debt of £2564.38 and have paid off £1608.52 so far.
Therefore I have 956.38 remaining. At £275 a month thats approximately 3 and a half months, say 4 months, so I'll be debt free in time for Xmas 09! Yay!:TDebt free as of 2 October 2009
