Hi dizzybee and welcome, of course you can join. It sounds as if you have made a great start already. I myself would like to clear my debts by the end of the year, its going to be tough getting there as my dfd currently stands at March 2010. I have been ebaying and saving on my grocery budget and have managed to bring my debt free date a little bit closer, shaving 3 months of it. good luck and let us know on your progress you will get plenty of support on here.

  • Hello all!

I joined this quite a while back but I've not yet come back to update it. I wanted it to be a nice round number to take off my total.

As it stands at the minute I have paid £2000 off from my £6000.

My DF aim was July 2009 as it's my 25th birthday then but that is looking less and less likely at the minute. Mainly because my 2nd income ended but also because I opted for paying my car insurance, tv license, car tax, water rates all in one go this year. It is the first time ever I have been able to do this so I'm really quite proud! This means I won't be having these monthly payments going out and has drastically reduced my monthly outgoings!

I still will be debt free in 2009 but might be a few months late!

Hope everyone is finding their own challenges rewarding and is enjoying the sight of their owings coming down each month! Continued best wishes to all of you! May your sofa have many hidden 20p pieces and your penny jar always be full. :D
