I need to drop a few pounds (if a "few" means 24... ) so am combining both aims...emergency moneysavers don't need triple chocolate chip cookies, dammit!!! I'm planning on a very sensible food budget and living on a healthy "square meals" i.e. meat, carbs and two vegs for my tea, casseroles, cottage pies, soups etc, all cooked from scratch and based around what's on the 39p offer in Aldi!!! Am taking notice of the "what can I afford within my budget" mantra from the website!0 -

I am really late to this thread... well done everyone so far!!
Can I join in too please? I did another SOA today and my total debt stands at £9k. I have already promised myself I want to get rid of my 'little debts' in 2009, which will leave just my Loan repayments which I will start overpaying after the smaller bits have gone.
So the bits I want gone are:
HSBC CC £1466
Egg CC £750
Car Finance £518 remaining
Overdraft £800
so the total is £3534
I am going to see what I can Ebay this month as I am proper 'hand to mouth' this month thanks to Mr Taxman taking a big hit out of my pay packet for December!
I will really start seeing the balances reducing in Feb once Jan is out of the way! Paying off in 2009::beer:
Egg CC [strike]£750[/strike] £0 :j, HSBC CC [strike]£1466[/strike] £1429, Black Horse [strike]£518[/strike] £0 :j, Overdraft £800
Total [strike]£3534[/strike] £2229, currently paid off £1304 (37%), Debt free in 2009 #63
