Happy belated Xmas everyone. Just noticed the front page that my amount is TBC. Have got £3844.27 (had over 17k at the start
) left to pay.Have been doing okay moneywise over the Xmas holls but I think this week might be expensive. Will just have to be careful. My next pay cheque is at the end of January!

My total debt as of today is 18,431.31
Originally when I started here my total was 25120. I have been a member here since Aug 07 so since then I have paid off £6,688.69 (plus I had to get my teeth fixed so that set things back a bit!) but I think now I have learnt the ropes off DFW and I am prepared to get shot of it....!!!
I am really excited about getting my debts paid off. and I have the feeling I am in good company here!!

Helloo!!!
I'm new to this - and I have had enough of being in debt!!!
I have the following stuff to rid myself of;
EVIL EVIL cash til payday moneyshop loan = £600 (desperate times...)
ALMOST AS EVIL Monument card = £3400 (and they've just hiked the rated...the scoundrels!)
RBS Visa = £1200
RBS overdraft = £1700 (they were supposed to shift all my stuff over from natwest account and they never did...I was skint and at uni and ended up with two overdrafts instead of one...just what I wanted)
Natwest overdraft - £2200
Total debt: £8500
WOW how the hell did I end up in so much debt? The result of four years of uni followed by three years in low paid jobs, I suppose. Combined with my own naivety and ignorance about finances...but NO MORE!!
I am aiming to pay a minimum of £350 a month off my debts on top of my normal repayments/interest...I want the evil moneyshop loans gone by March (and I will also be torching my chequebook I think...dangerous!) and after that I'm prioritising the Monument card which I got into without realising how AWFUL it is!!!
SO by this time next year, I want moneyshop & monument out of my life forever and hopefully will have chipped away a considerable amount of the other debts with any extra I can afford.
I've started piggybanking already and have used the budget tool...I'm kinda ashamed of how much unecessary spending I do, I didn't realise I was such a compulsive consumer.
Here's to staying motivated and taking control again...best of luck to everyone!!!
