I said that a few days ago, circulation is seriously shrinking as we are hogging them for longer and longer before banking them!
Trouble is I really am seeing less and less of them in the shops and my post office seems to be the only place handing them out in change!0 -
Hey, I'd love to join this but I'm thinking I may be too late? I'm not saving for anything in particular at the moment.
I don't have any coins yet (I wish I'd started this last week as I had 4 lol)
Could I have a number please?
Happy Saving!0 -

Welcome to the club, duly added you to the list.

It was me......I had them all :rotfl:
As promised, I opened my tin and I had £760.
They are what I get at work and after they have been accounted for they are snaffled into the tin.
Paid into bank on Friday and will go to pay my tax bill

Posted this on the old thread by mistake earlier - thought I'd copy it over in case anyone is interested in how much a terramundi can hold in £2 coins.
Just to say that I cracked open my terramundi last week. I'd been saving £2 coins in it for three years and was pleased to find £900 in there!! :j We really did cram them in until there was no more room, I was expecting to find about £750 so it was an extra nice surprise. Don't think the bank will be too pleased with me walking in with £900 in £2 coins though, may have to do it in batches!0 -
Well, now I know why they are so hard to come by! Royal Mint confirms there just aren't a huge amount in circulation - and even less when you take into account how much we all secretly hoard!
