  • Right i know this is slightly off convo but i've been down to the jobcentre and can't claim jobseekers until march 22nd 09 but mum can get extended child benefits and child tax credits until that date. So you know--mum's got more pennies to go in her sealed pot:rotfl:

I raided dh coat pocket yesterday, nabbed 15p for the silver pot. He didn't notice so I might go and have another look in a minute hehe.

mumzy I know exactly what you mean about the schools. just in the last few weeks, we have had to donate prizes for the christmas fair, then buy raffle tickets (so we can win back what we donated) then attend the fair and spend a fortune on all the tat. pay for tickets for the christmas plays, and buy tickets so they can watch a panto. Then donate/make/buy, clothes for the xmas plays, and also buy tickets for the kids to go to the school christmas disco...........It is getting silly if you ask me!!

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Not only that Mel, but being a rural school it costs us a fortune in petrol driving the school netball/football/cricket teams to away matches!!
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
  • :j won the lottery last week and cashed in ticket today £10 into the pot:eek:

  • Everyone seems to be so doing well :T

I'm telling myself I'm not putting much in because of how little I'm spending in the first place

Anyway, I (well the hubby) managed 10p today!
