I would like to join if possible... is it ok to just add £2coins?£3000 Holiday/Car Target.... £1800

Elsie, your grandchildren are so lucky to have you, wish my Nana had knitted but she more than made up for it in other ways, her bread was the nicest ever. The tea cosy is coming along slowly - I'm doing it more for the enjoyment of knitting (stops me eating too) than the need for a tea cosy!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Morning NB,
How are you kid, hope the weather in Ireland is fine and dandy. My mum knits, and when we were kids she knitted my brother and me (he was 13 & I was 9) yellow & black tank tops, we looked like a couple of large bees :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hey Sparky!
Aw, how cute! Do you have any embarrassing photos you'd care to post of you modelling your bumble bee outfit? My Mum and Dad only took photos of my sister and me when we were in embarrassing outfits or so it seems! Hmmm, after the tea cosy I could give pullovers a go - could do matching ones ones for sis and me!:D
We had scorcher (ie about 20C!) in Dublin today. Would have been a great day for a beer garden...:beer:Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!

Enjoy yourself here and have great fun saving! You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1. If you haven't already done so then read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with any queries.
NualaBuala wrote:Elsie, what are you knitting? I'm trying to make a tea cosy. My sister thinks I'm such a granny (I'm only 38) and says nobody uses tea cosies any more. But my knitting isn't good enough to wear so I figured a tea cosy is a safe bet. And I might set a trend!
Hi Nuala, how about trying the Knitting thread here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1384709&page=159, they can tell you where (on line) to get patterns for just about everything. I do a bit myself and often pop in there to see what's happening. Just ask about tea cosies and I'll bet they can help.sparky0107 wrote:Sue, nice to have the boss back, now we can try to control the naughty people on here, together lol
Managed 6p of road change, plus I put 2 gold coins into my sealed pot.
Good to see new people joining the challenge, just hope they're not easily led astray
Thank you sparky. With SallyCinnamon joining we now have 687 members!! I can't believe it at times!
If we stick together (like a couple of sheepdog!) we'll keep the naughty ones in check, she says with fingers crossed.Had a real giggle at your comment about your mum turning your brother and you into bees in your yellow & black tank tops. I'll bet they gave you a real buzz!!! :rotfl:Sorry sparky, naughty but.....!
Sams, I doubt you'll see this, but all the same, have a terrific holiday! Sounds as though you're a really happy bunch. No internet is a great idea, we never do either.
Well done on that £40 saved Our Elsie! Have you visited the Knitting thread here yet? It's in the OS part that you go to.
Enjoy your Fridays folks, beginning of the weekend, well almost!
