Bad news about your OH CrunchyFrogSticks, personally I think he should have ignored your keen saving!!:D You ARE luckier with you OH urg, that's the way we like them, generous!!
Hi there Shelley! It's been a long time, but it really was great to see your name! If you still have your exams to go through then I hope all goes well and you get to where you wish to be! :j Meanwhile, don't worry too much about meeting your target, the main things is that you're saving, so all the best with that carpet!
Same amount saved today as me MSFC, well done to us both!
Nothing sad about 4 Terramundi Sams, though try to get the 4th as a gift, far more MSE!......It certainly does all add up bigbum, keep it going.

£1 for each pot today, if I manage to sell a book today to the person at work who wanted it I shall have another £4, which pot 3 shall claim. A friend of mine came over and said 'oooh terramundi's, are you saving for all your Christmas food?' Which I'm not, but if I get another Terramundi..... Is it too sad to have 4? I can't afford to go out or eat....I have terramundi's to feed!
If your sad then so am II have two terramundis 5 piggy banks and a cat piggy bank:o

well in that case I feel as if I am falling behind! Need more..... I have decided that I will get a new terramundi and only save £2 coins in it, that way it will not be taking anything from the other pots, and I need them to know they are all loved equally. Now to convince a loving offspring that they 'need' to buy me a terramundi......

Well I never! I turn my back for a minute (or a week) and the mischievous ones are not only off the naughty step but are having gold stars!!!:rotfl: What is the world coming to? And no, I don't think msfc and I will end up there although the chocolate biccie stash is tempting!:D
Well I've had a nice little catch up on this thread and I think there's still plenty of divilment going on so I will have to be careful that I am not led astray:A
Alas I have been so super-good with my no spend days that I have had hardly any change but I did manage to feed piggy €1.52.
Elsie, what are you knitting? I'm trying to make a tea cosy. My sister thinks I'm such a granny (I'm only 38) and says nobody uses tea cosies any more. But my knitting isn't good enough to wear so I figured a tea cosy is a safe bet. And I might set a trend!
Welcome to all the new savers:wave:Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Ok, my last post for a few weeks as I am off to visit family, and off to Cornwall on a lovely holiday, and one of our golden rules on holiday is - no internet! (it's amazing, we all actually get to talk to people face-to-face and remember who we all are again!). So, a mighty 20p for pot 1, 30p for pot 2 and a huge and very successful 50p for pot 3. Because all the rest of the change found its way into my cream-teas-on-holiday pocket

Hi Nuala
I am knitting for my grandchildren, which I love to do.I know they are not terribly fashionable, but they last for years. I also know that you can buy them as cheap, but they don't last as long. I started knitting when my first child was born and he's 37 now, but that's what everyone did then. Very MSE.!!:money: I don't think I have ever knitted a Tea cosy, probably too busy with other things, but if it makes you happy.....go for it.!!
Glad to see everyone saving , and because its pay day, another £40 into my pot today, plus about £2 in change.:j
