Sue - I think I am closer to convincing him! *fingers crossed*

...so I'm thinking that money can go to so many other things, like debt repayments or a slow cooker/food processor/table-top oven... Or to stocking up freezer and cupboards! :j Am I sad or what?! :rotfl:

No! You're not sad at all Mellika, the idea is to keep saving for what we as individuals want or need. You can even keep saving it right through next year if you wish, the choice or yours/ours. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him/ you both too!!

Reb - Thank you for the orgy hugs, well needed! I did laugh but it was more of a nervous laugh. And SOA is a State of Affairs... or was that a joke question...? *feels all eyes on her* Oh and you never come across as unfriendly!!

I am amazed (read shocked) at how much money you all put in your pots. I know I've said this before, but it's still amazing. Like I said, I'll probably only find £20 when I open mine! :rotfl: But luckily we don't really spend money at Christmas (we're usually money neutral) so I'm thinking that money can go to so many other things, like debt repayments or a slow cooker/food processor/table-top oven... Or to stocking up freezer and cupboards! :j Am I sad or what?! :rotfl:

No I really didn't know what SOA was. I am learning every day on here.

As for how much I save. I do a little job each week and normally just put the money in my purse, so I thought I would see how many weeks I can put it away for without 'missing it'. I am amazed at myself to be honest. We are having a SUN newspaper weekend away soon and then I guess I will want it to spend.....but until then I will carry on I hope.

I am sure I will not beat Little Chicken.....but heck I have to try and knock her off her perch somehow. I wonder why she thought up that name? Will have to ask her sometime, or maybe the old bird will read this and just tell me.......

And as for you being sad...I don't think so at all.....brave yes but not sad. And I got a food processor off my local freecycle site. Have you tried there? There must be one in Hartlepool?

I found 25p in the car, just loafing around, so I swiped it and it is now residing where all coins are destined to be.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.
I don't get to come on here too often.
    Too buzy money saving!

Good morning, and thank you all for the warm welcome!! :iloveyou:

thank you Sue for my number - I will go back to the first page in a mo and find it.

I made my pot yesterday - found a cardboard tube that some large photos came in - with a plastic lid - so have taped the lid down, and cut a slot in the top! May be dynamic later and decorate it with the contents of the kids craft drawer....:p

Nothing in it as yet....but hopefully today I will take its virginity!! :p

Have a good day everyone xxxxx

    Hallo newbies:hello: and welcome.

Sue - i seem to have missed your birthday. Have a big slobbery kiss by way of apology.:kisses2:LOL

Mellika, I'm like Reb - I use the money from mystery shops to top up my potties - otherwise it would just 'disappear' never to be seen again. But anything helps.

Reb, no reason for choosing that name, but i kinda like it now. An I'm only 34:eek::eek::eek: maybe I should have been called spring chicken.:rotfl:

No pennies in the pottie again today. oh dear! Sparky, I might have to join you and give the pottie a top-up.
    Save me from spending...

    Hiya luckycharlie,
March 31st is the road change tin opening day, so there's still 17days to go :D , we went to Liverpool 1 today, parked the car well outside of town and walked in, so we saved money on parking, so I've put that into the sealed pot this evening ;) .
