    Good morning everyone,
We had a fantastic time at the wedding in Shrewsbury, the Bride looked beautiful, her dress was made by the lady who designs Kylie Minogues costumes. There was also a fantastic band playing at the evening do called "The hot jazz biscuits", they were awesome :T . No road change to be had in shrewsbury though  , they must keep a tight grip on it :rotfl: :rotfl:

I see we have some people with twitchy fingers :D , put the pots down and step away lol, unless of course you have to spend it on your pets ;) . Seriously though, thats what it's there for, either saving or for emergencies, so as Sue has already said I forgive you also :p .

On a serious note, no reply from young Jess yet, hope she's alright, as she was very enthusiastic at the start of the new challenge. If things don't change I'm thinking of organizing a search party to look for her :D . If you are reading this Jess, come back young 'un, we miss your enthusiasm ;)

Right I'm. off for my shower and taking the pup for a walk, the hunt for road change goes on :D , only 5 weeks to go until the big count, to pay off a debt with OP's money :T

Have a safe day everyone, keep saving and be good ;)
(well as good as you can be :D )

    Evening everyone,
Managed about £3 and odd change in my poy today, plus we found 19p road change. Off out to a 21st party tonight. It's strange isn't it, no invites to anything then two in the same week, oh well at least people still want to see us lol.

Catch you all tomorrow folks, have a great Saturday night

  • Hi everyone, hope you are having a good weekend.

We are having cash flow problems (the bank takes too long to clear cheques!) and so I had to raid my pots yesterday. Between the sealed pot and the loose change pays my debt pot, I had £50 and I had to buy petrol and milk. I'm sorry guys, but we had to go to a funeral, so had to have petrol. And then today we spent the rest on food and as it's been a tough week treated ourselves to milkshakes from the best milkshake shop ever (made from vanilla ice cream and what ever sweets you want) - sometimes you just need a treat.
The cheques for DH's wages are clearing on Mon and Tues, I will be paid Thurs, and he has lots more work coming up so hopefully I will be able to put the money back in, once our overdrafts are paid off, and some urgent bills. We may even be able to pay more than the minimum payment on our CC's! Hope so, otherwise we will never get out of debt!

Hi all....£10 note and some small change into my pot this week, but its been a struggle to manage to save it. I understand where you are coming from Rosepink, and I wouldn't worry about it. I would raid mine if things were desperate.....I know its a Sealed Pot challenge and I'm hoping to save it for xmas, but I also look on it as an Emergency Buffer fund. Its there if really, really necessary.

    Happy saving everyone.:T:T

  • Hi everyone, £4 in the pot for the last couple of days. Really proud of myself, I really thought I'd only last a month and then spend the money but I'm really enjoying hearing the clunks as they go into the pot. :j:j:j
:jYou've got to be in it to win it!! Just believe to receive!! :j

Does it count that I have put a £5.00 voucher from Mr M in mine......should really go in OH pot seeing as its because he gets his petrol from Mr M....it really belongs to him. But as we girls know......what's his is mine......and mine's my own. !!

Thanks elsie, it was horrible taking all that money to the petrol station! I had to tip it out on the counter and count out £38 in change! A man asked me if I'd been raiding the piggy bank! If I have to do it again will go via the bank to get notes!
I'm so glad I had it tho, this challenge is great and I hope to replace it asap!
I know what you mean Elsie about the Emergency Buffer. It gives you peace of mind doesn't it, knowing you have something for desperate times!

You're so right Rosepink - I felt bad raiding my pots but I really did need it and if it wasn't for this challenge I wouldn't have had it!

Well I'm already redeeming myself - a LOT of coppers (2 hand fulls I think) and a shiny £2 in today :)

Haven't actually spent what I raided yet but still need to buy some things so unsure how much is going back in yet!
