Hi all, I thought I'd stop by to report on my SJ challenge so far.

I don't keep a running total otherwise I'd lose the incentive to keep going or probably break the bottle to use the money for something.

I think I've put in about a tenner this past week which is good. Yesterday I had 2 £2 coins but needed to buy a few food items. I suppose I should have used the coins but I couldn't bring myself to, even though I knew I was overdrawn. So guess what? I used my switch card to pay for the items THEN discovered a £10 note in my purse .

That piece of paper didn't last long either as I had my niece visiting for the day so the Oyster card had to be topped up for my bus journeys with her. I really wish she had a bike, would have been cheaper . I also need to have some no spend days this week to reduce any further use of the overdraft. Just as well it's interest free!

Keep the challenge going everyone. We doing great :T

  • I managed to put £30 in each pot today, so they are both £5 better off. The trouble is that I put notes in - its hard to ignore notes! Must not spend them, must not spend them!
Hope you find the guitar case Little Chicken.

Well done everyone, we all seem to be doing well, especially those who can actually find roadkill. i don't htink anyone round here drops change!

Really really want some :EasterBun I am going a thing where I only buy one small chocolate bar a day, instead of a big bag, which I end up eating in one day! :o I need to loose wait and also save money. But I've eaten my chocolate for today and don't have anymore in the house. Really want some!

  • No pennies in my pot. Hi rosepink:hello: i find sometimes if I have the choccie craving that a cup of hot chocolate does the trick - if you have any that is.

We've been at home all day today, so no pennies for me, but at least that means I haven't spent any either. :T

I've listed some more stuff on ebay tonight so hopefully I'll make some more money next week. :D
