I'm brand new here but this caught my eye a few days ago when I was lurking and I'd love to join to save for Christmas 2009.

Got my tin today from one of those wonderful pound shops and fed it with 90p!

Going to try for a target of £250, anything above that will be a bonus :D

I have a beautiful juice bottle washed out and wrapped in pink paper, I have put £4.00 in today and a bit of shrapnel I found lying around. ;)

Not sure what I will be using it for but after the size of my CC bill today it could still be paying that off next year:eek:

not much for me today as I had a NSD but found some change in the bottom of my handbag when rooting for a pen so that had gone into the pot this evening.
  • £3 in my piggy's tum for me today. Was going to put it towards a bottle of wine for tonight but my mam gave me a bottle instead. Free wine always tastes better!

  • :hello: I've started my collection today - found all sorts of bits of change around the house and thrown it into my bucket...makes for a bit of fun - seeing who can aim into the bucket from the sofa..!!! (easily pleased in our house!! :rotfl:)

I've received a £10.00 M & S voucher from Valued Opinions for answering surveys-is it cheating to put them in for next years Xmas shopping target?

Hi all, Just checking in briefly, inbetween warming my hands at the fire.
Great to see so much enthusiasm for the new challenge. I stuck a few coins into the pot today, and like Molly said, it does sound very hollow now that it's been emptied. I'm using the same cardboard box as last year as it cost me nothing - very MSE!!!

  • I have made an empty jam jar my £2 recepticle, unfortunately I have lost the lid (which I was going to cut a slot in and super glue on) so it is currently unsealed  Will attempt to find a novel way to seal it up
