A very warm welcome to the thread bookadict, (you're welcome to count the £39 you have and you can save change any notes in ANY denominations - though if you're thinking of £50s then maybe I'd best check them first!!!), and to millyscarlett (a great amount in the terramundi and good to see it's sealable), also to mistrey (needs restraining from milk money!), skint-student-nurse (all the best for your dream with your little one), TheGiggsLady, Nic25 (to answer your question some had in excess of a £1000!!!) and TheBees! It's wonderful to greet you all and you'll all find your numbers and any targets specified on Page 1. Enjoy yourselves with the fun and the challenge itself. :D

You're welcome Pips Mum, bet you're very much looking forward to Christmas day, so am I as I go all gooey over babies! :santa2: You're welcome northernspender, it's great to have you in with us and I've put your target on. 3 more clunks better off then paybacktime2008, it soon mounts up. Hi there Puzzled or is it commiserations - never mind an NSD leaves you free to change more notes next day out - hopefully!:j Be careful how well you feed your rasher mickey mouse or you'll push the price of bacon sky high and if that happens, best look out for flying pigs, your rasher included!!!:rotfl:

Well done with that £1.85 flying_fresian, I love that smilie cow. :) Your target is on now stacy, good luck in achieving it. Patients, patients Norton Blade, plenty of time for money to be thrown your way - or the pots. :j Oooh, you are learning fast jenchin, a certain MSEer! :money:Target is on 98sidney! Nothing's OTT on this board poorandindenial, £2ers are a necessity and so is a receptacle to house them. Oh Surfbabe, he's gorgeous, the darling littlies too, but I just adore that beautiful penguin, what a face, a p.p.p.perfect p.p.p.penguin!!!! Such a wonderful and reasonable way to give to kiddies, you're a perfect Grand Aunty obviously. Ziglets just fits the bill flying_fresian! Pleased to see you've started Young Aged Pensioner!! :D Don't worry lingojingo, as you say, it is a long list and it's difficult trying to pick your name out with all the excitement, you made it though. All the best with the saving now! :j

dh just come home and I've emptied his wallet of small change, he'll never know:D
Oh mummytummy! No way can I condone that - I can only say - keep it up!!!!! It's for his own good after all! ;) Well done with the tin ALR, be sure to feed it well as even tins have tummies! Hi Buffy, your target's down ready, good luck in meeting it or getting more! £13.57 already terri72!!! Hope you're not confessing to having raided other people's piggy banks???!!! ;) No it's not cheating using a jar with a digital counter, you do what YOU wish! Saw them on Amazon, 2 sizes too. You have one as well the Nic??? Aha, me wonders! I'll need to be careful as I'm getting addicted to piggy banks as well as their insides!!! Hi there Molly!!:hello: I'll be glad when you're over here more as it almost seems as though you're in 'the old room' clearing up! Daft maybe, but.... The enthusiasm is amazing and yesterday it almost felt like one huge party with all the guests arriving one by one. The excitement in the posts has seen me with the HUGEST of grins! :D You're most welcome Numpty Monkey, no need to keep an exact amount at all, do as you please, it's the way it should be to my mind. Same for you Maisie M, what you want! Well done brokemumof3 and dizzeepixie, you have it right DP by keeping hold of the coins you need, imagine if your youngsters went to school saying we couldn't have any lunch as mum puts it in the bucket!!! :rotfl:
Amazing the many ways around using notes to save cash jpwhittle, I like it! :j Hi chunky, that terry's orange tin sounds delicious or it would do if it had the previous occupants in!! Greetings to you also coxy1072 and you're here for all to see, so no problems now. Sincere commiserations with such an awful year, I truly hope that the following year will bring you all you'd wish for, you certainly deserve it. Best of luck and health!
Yippee I am now a number!! (368) hope my post asking when I get a number didn't appear rude or anything, my first challenge so wasn't sure how it worked.

    Good luck everyone, happy saving!

p.s, does this become as addictive as everything else on this site?? My oh thinks im mad at the MO.
Don't worry ragstoricheswannabe, of course you didn't appear rude with your post. If I can put up with sparky and stunty and some of our other males(oh..the trials of life) then, well, as the girls here know ...that says it all really! This thread is certainly addictive and all in all, your OH may well be right, mine would agree for sure. Well, he would have done - before I counted the treasures within the pot. Now he's all for it in a BIG way. All the best with your pig and what I'm doing with my money is best summed up by saying ....no idea at present. A case of "now I have it do I want to see if spent?!" I'll either throw caution to the wind and put it to Christmas, put it in the B Society or change it to notes - and - leave it in the bottom of the pot. Does that help? NO?! Ah well.

Happy savings everyone and enjoy the challenge.

    Sue

    Sue,
How very dare you, I resemble that remark, I wouldn't push Martin out of the way, I'd snaffle the coin from right under his nose lol.
Just trying keep stunty on the straight and narrow with the future Mrs. S, I know you ladies like to feel in control of us chaps, and our pocket change, lol
...and sparky don't lie! :naughty: If Martin himself was about to pick one up, our sparky would bear him to it!! Bit cheeky with the "Yes dear" phrase to Stunty about Mrs S though, shameful sparky!
