Hi, I posted near the end of the old thread asking to join you, and I don't think you've added me ( my eyes are going funny with such a long list to read through).
I have no idea how much I'll manange, am going to put all my spare cash on a Friday night into the pot, before drawing out money for the next week on the Saturday morning.
Very impressed how well you all did this year, and hoping to emulate you!
Edited to say I've just found myself on the list - number 340 - thank you!

Hi everyone, can I join please?
This sounds like fun!
No idea where t set my target cos I've never done anything like this before.... I guess I'll say £250, this sounds do-able, though hopefully I'll be able to beat that!
Can I ask out of nosiness, what was the largest amount saved last year? You all sound as though you done great!LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250

Sue-UU - Thanks for organising this. Please could we join in for 2009? We have a large hexagonal glass terrarium on the floor by the tv and we normally throw our loose change in there every few days. Originally we sealed it with superglue but after emptying it in August for our holiday spending money the lid has been loose and it's been tempting to delve into it for the occasional emergency dinner money! At the moment there's about £10 in it so we'll carry on from there and aim for £350. To be spent on paying off the mortgage or towards Christmas.
Thanks - TheBeesMortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

I was in BHS this evening and found a can that I'm going to use as my new sealed pot for 2009. £3 normally but BHS apply a saving for the new VAT rate thingy. (not a massive saving but - in the words of Tesco - Every little helps!) I got the 'Millionaire's Starter Fund' but they have several other designs... and as you need a can opener to get into it, it'll be harder for me to dip into it whenever I feel like it!
It's already had all the change from my purse.
Lets hope I can keep it up.
Good luck to everyone else for the rest of the challenge!

Just made another deposit in to the jar and the display is telling me I have £13.57
Is it cheating 'cause I'm using a jar with a digital counter?
Also, have to confess that I haven't managed to save all that amount since yesterday :rotfl: I raided a few piggy banks and lumped everything in together. So only have two jars now, one for this challage and another for my 20p'sSealed Pot Challenge Member 015 - Target £50 (2015=£70; 2014=£74.40; 2013=£61.76; 2012=£82.50)

Yay Terri!! I have one of the electronic !!!!er jars too!! OH bought me it from firebox - I love it!
I'm so easily pleased haha!
I already save most of my change in this, so trying to decide whether to carry on with this jar (which is quite small and I'll have to keep emptying) or start a new one, and just save 50p's.... ahh decisions....LBM - 1/12/08 - Debt £13250
