  • Hi everyone

Jst foumd this new challenge - I wold like to join in again too please. I had to open my tin earler in the year to pay for my car tax as things were a bit tight.

I'm hoping for about £500, but will be happy with anything!!!!!!

    Good luck everyone

  • Well I am number 402. I have been saving 20p and £2 coins for the past few months for my Christmas 2008 fund, along with small change. I won't be starting this sealed pot challenge proper until this Christmas is over, but I have managed to do quite well just saving a few coins so this will be good.

Just need to get a sealed tin from B&M Bargains next time I am passing!

cheap_Charlie - I don't think you could ever be too late if you are willing to save money

That's it kyllle, no one has a deadline to join, we'll welcome them whenever they wish to come on, so if any of you see someone ask before I do - PLEASE let them know, thanks a lot folks.:D

    - penniesgrowintopounds I got a shiny £2 coin today too, hubby gave it to me as soon as we left the check out!!!! You're so right EVERYONE did amazingly well and whether it was a little or a lot, it's all money that would have dwindled away IF they hadn't bothered saving!!
Hell yeah it's addictive. Lol. All of a sudden you will realise that you are a member of a friendly little community. We're all usually around on here at some point of the day and I like to think that we've helped each other out with various problems ove rthe last year. If you've got time (and you're feeling brave) have a read of the thread from last year from the start. It's a great read!

I couldn't have put it better myself Stunty, you're absolutely right, a fantastic place to be and where names soon become faces and friends, even if they can't be seen! :A
will be feeding Rasher later- he is sleeping at the moment

    Hugs and cuppas to all

Your rasher sleep in late Mickey mouse, or is it because you're 'running him in' maybe? Hugs and cuppas to you 'n all, I'll have mine white with 1 sugar please. :rolleyes:Bloomin freezing here too.

    - lilgrayfox - Sounds like you mean business with that Roses Sweetie Jar - I really do hope you can fill it too, though be careful with Stanley knives! Laurenjs88, I see you've made a good start, you too CharlotteandEden with a shiny £2er! :j At a girl piquant, that's the way to save, folk are funny about picking up money, maybe they think it's too dirty:confused: - blowed if I do!!! You either then Deborah and scubaangel well done! Too_much_debt - Yet another £2 coin, they must be in great demand, only one that's pretty though really. I really hope you can achieve paying off that £17,000 ASAP! I must look into the other challenges etc myself, thanks for the gee-up! :D

I have no shame, I will pick up any coins lying around on the floor, if I don't someone else from MSE will do it, so it might as well be me lol, my total for road change this year so far is just under £40. :j[/quote

...and sparky don't lie! :naughty: If Martin himself was about to pick one up, our sparky would bear him to it!! Bit cheeky with the "Yes dear" phrase to Stunty about Mrs S though, shameful sparky! :( OK ilovetea, yet another mum/daughter race then, no fighting over p's though!!! Ah ilovetea, yet another offering - I'll have mine white with 1 sugar please, Mickey mouse didn't turn up with the other!:p Kittikins, you really do sound as though you mean business with your saving, thank goodness I don't live in Sussex, I'd be terrified of you combing my patch!!! Seriously though, very well done indeed and good luck with your challenges.

-cb66 and you're quote <<<"I think I shall have to leave some change in the car.">>> Oddly enough my hubby asked me to change some cash for him so he could make sure he keeps some in the car for the same reason, we need to be careful, though CPs are way OTT!!!

Now then ...member No 399 coxy1072 Aha, thanks Jordan! You're doing a grand job! ;) BTW coxy1072 yesterday you asked for a target of £300 would you like me to amend that to the £100 you asked for today? You maybe got a bit excited with it all yesterday, it's no trouble at all though, so do let me know - and good luck in following your daughter's great example!!!

Well done Greenbynature! IF you were to get that every day or every week it would soon mount up! Well done you too mogwai!

  • Hi all.

Just wanted to say a big thanks you to SUE UU for allocating me a number for this challenge:T . Am no. 384 !

I have my tin ready just need to seal tonight and then I'll start adding. I already have a copper jar on the go , so am going to add all my small silver change to my sealed pot challenge. Am going to aim for £250 but will not keep a running total as I'd like it to be a suprise this time next year!

I saw the 2008 challenge posts when I was a "lurker" earlier this year, and thought it would be a brilliant thing to do, so am pleased to be part of 2009's.

    Thanks again x
