I have no shame, I will pick up any coins lying around on the floor, if I don't someone else from MSE will do it, so it might as well be me lol, my total for road change this year so far is just under £40. :jSparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. How's things with you mate? Bloody frozen over this morning wasnt it?
You know the 2 words to a successful marriage?
"Yes Dear" They've worked for me for 17 years lol
It was a bit chilly this morning, luckily I've put the bike out to graze for the rest of the winter & reverted back to the car, and it took a while to scrape the glass free of ice.Sparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Hello, can I join in please, I am going to have two pots (but one number), one pot is for us, the second is for World Vision Christmas Charity. Every year we buy a goat, or chicken or blanket from WV charity gifts from our family to someone else's, so we thought if we put a pot by for that too we may be able to buy two goats, or maybe even a camel!

383 reporting in. Sorting the change which lives in my other money boxes anything which I can bag up and bank will go in to the bottle this afternoon, from now on I'll be the one scouting about for spare change lucky really that I have no shame about collecting the abandoned change on the street! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Can I join please, I thought I had but can't see my number, I could have dreamt it and that's why I'm not on the list :rotfl::rotfl:
I've started making my sealed pot out of paper mache but I want it to be a bit stronger than it is so need to add a few more layers, so in the meantime I'm putting loose change in an old coffee jar.
I'm not setting a target, I'll just keep putting in the cash and see what's there at the end of next year. I've already set myself some challenges for the next 12 months so hopefully my sealed pot will be well fed.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

Hello everyone, member 376 reporting for duty
I'm off to a cracking start, put in £1.20 yesterday as I bought some milk and yoghurts very reduced in Wilkos so put the savings in the pot, today I'm going to put £1.50 in as I forgot to bring any lunch so picked up a parcel and ran some errands on the way home so I could make a quick salad there (luckily only 10 mins away) so I reckon I'd have spent at least £1.50 on a sarnie in the canteen at work - in the pot it goes
Think I'll do what I can to put the "savings" in until the new year when I plan to properly join the live on £4,000 a year challenge - then, every penny will certainly count, so I reckon I'll be down to the pennies I find down the back of the sofa or on the pavement!
My purse is now completely empty....and hopefully will remain that way until the weekend - am also aiming for some NSDs in December too!!
I like a challenge0 -
Note to self. Don't put all your silver change in the sealed pot just before you go shopping, as you will have to overpay on the car park ticket!
Gah I was so annoyed with myself. Had to pay £1 for three hours when I could have just spent 25p for 40 minutes. There were 3 blokes there repairing one of the ticket machines but "Sorry madam we don't have change" was all I got from them.
I think I shall have to leave some change in the car.0 -

Greetings sue uu,
I am not sure whether you received my request to join the sealed pot
challenge for 2009, i have checked the list and i cannot see my name listed
as of yet.
I would love to join because it would give me a focus for next year, my
three year old daughter already saves all of her money for play mobil sets
so i will try and learn from her example. I haven't posted much recently so i
am looking forward to posting any news, keep up the good work and i will
keep a lookout for my number, my target is £100.00, anything over that will
be a bonus, as i stated before ive got anumber of pots set up.
cheers coxy1072 :beer:0
