... sorry I meant June LAST year !!0

I have just checked their online terms and conditions of Sky Broadband online and it looks like the information they gave is completely wrong ...
Under Section 11c
... (c) You can only end this Contract during your Minimum Term if:
(i) Conditions 7(a), 10(b) or 11(e) apply; or
(ii) we increase your Sky Broadband Payment more than once, or by more than 10% or the increase in the UK Retail Price Index over the 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is the greater, unless Condition 6(c) applies.
(d) To end this Contract under Condition 11(c), you must give us at least seven days' notice within one calendar month of receipt of any notice from us.
(e) You may end this Contract by giving us seven days' notice at any time (including during your Minimum Term) if we or SHS break any of the Conditions. ....
So under 11e) It looks like I can wait until 21st February and then give them notice of cancellation on the grounds that they have increased their price by far more than 10% !! I hope other people will follow me in this0 -

Please can you tell me when you signed to sky talk but kept your bt line, did you have to inform bt that you are going to sky for your calls? How does this work, I understand you just subscribe to sky talk and they will do sort it out for you. Sky talk unlimited is no good to me as I am a very light user and do not have many international relatives or friends I could ring for free. I do not intend to use sky for my calls but 18185. I understand sky cannot block this as I am with bt for my line. The best option for me is to sign to sky talk free to benefit for the unlimited evenings and week-end calls at least their customer care 0844 calls are free. If you check your bt line, I am sure you are charged for 1571 or is this service free?
I am also a light user on mob otherwise I would with o2. I will struggle to use £10 top up every three months. I only keep my mobile for emergency otherwise I would definitely cancel my bb with sky.0 -

BT will start charging you for 1571 as you cant place calls via 1280 to them.0 -

Was really straight forward. Sky contacted BT on my behalf and then BT wrote confirming the information. I had no problem keeping my BT line. When the switch happened, I just logged onto my BT account and changed my option. I've saved roughly £20.00 on my 1st month with SKY. I was putting £40.00 a month on my BT payment card. It seems that BT do make a charge for the 1571 calls. Sorry for being ignorant but have no idea what
18185 is used for. Have never used it. I really am very impressed by SKYTALK and it should work out LOTS cheaper than BT.0 -
if you have a bt phone line and have sky talk or sky talk unlimited and want the bt 1571 phone service it costs 98p a month on top of your bt line rental i have just taken up this myself as i need an answer machine for calls and i dont think that will break the bank0
