Culpepper - yes, I've tried washing my hair in the shower, now I have one, but have real problems with water goinng in my eyes and I don't feel I can wash my hair properly with my head tipped back as it is long. I have not perfected my techinique tho!

160 - talc might possibly make your hair white - it simply wouldn't show on my salt'n'pepper!!!!

And LUSH - OMG just visiting the shop can make my day brighter! It seems to PROVE that aroma therapy can work! I treat myself occasionally, or used to when I was working, and boy oh boy, the fragrance is enough to give me a smile! I like their ethos as they present it, too.

Have you thought about getting one of those things you can get for when you are washing kids hair (don't know what they are called sorry) they are doughnut shaped, made of waterproof material and you put them on your head, just under your hairline then the water just goes on the thing and not in your eyes.

HERE found one. You could probably make one to try with some elastic to go around your head and a wire coat hanger to go on the outside then stretch some waterproof material over them and fix.
When life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt ;)

was looking at a site yesterday with soap making instructions, she uses a piece of plastic drain pipe with a piece of card stuck over the end.

Re hair washing how about wearing swimming goggles?

Jeyreth, my 4yr old has the same problem ;) Taught him to put a well rung out flannel over his face so he can't feel the splashes. Know what you mean about rinsing the back of the head successfully in the shower, remember it well from the days I had long hair. Where did it all go :'( My little girl has long hair and leans back into the spray to rinse the front and then leans foreward into it to do the back. the water does run all over ya face though so you might not like it much.
Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.
  • Will look out for the superdrug one - I used to use one of their basic kids ones years ago until they discontinued it and it was the best shampoo/conditioner ever!

Thanks for the advice re washing long hair in shower..... On consideration, I'm saving a little bit by not washing my hair as often as I would if I were any good at it (get it?)

Best go, gotta wash my hair (hehehehehehe)

Blimey, what's wrong with me, so funny today?

Have just bought a book on making your own soap which I hope to experiment with over Christmas, and I'm sure it has some recipes in for hair.

I've never used the Lush bars because I have a soap phobia (no, I don't smell, I just hate soggy soap, especially the idea that uuuugh other people might touch it. It's pathetic, I know).

However, if my experiments work I'll be back to tell the tale. Bit scared of the caustic soda though. :o
