i have emailed the service desk to enquire regarding sata power cable.....
i am assuming that they will be able to tell me exactly what cable i require or if the disk comes with one included
is this the sort of thing required

I had crashing problems with an 8 month old Dell PC (Dell were useless, saying it was software fault and not covered by warranty). A friend recommended a cou ple of free tools which I used. One was tocorrect Registry errors, and the other to get rid of the rubbish which one accumulates. Glary Register Repair and C.Cleaner (Google for downloads, both free). I also use Revo Uninstaller which is much more efficient than Windows program uniinstall.

Yes, but it was fixed with no help from Dell whatsoever. And why can they just opt out if it is a software problem, they supplied the machine with the software installed in the first place.

the blue screen of death hasnt gone away...

i wondering whether i need a higher rated PSU, the one i have is 250W
    Q) are PSU simply a case of plug and play ie can i just choose one and install it? or do i need to check some things first - ie what i have installed
