DD1 brought back her list of items needed for "food tech" next week (!) They're making a quiche, and item one is 300g bought, frozen shortcrust pastry:eek::confused:. I told her that the night before I will show her how to make her own to take in. Why can't the cookery teacher teach them to cook from scratch like I was taught - hardly MS using bought stuff is it?

Right, just off to order a Horrible Histories Annual for DS for chrimbo, then getting the noisy brood into bed.

Fri : Time sheet in, finish DD's Xmas box off (I think she's just about finished :D )

    • Hall/stairs - Demould / Vacuum
    • Livingroom - Demould / Curtain & chairs & cushion covers

    • Order next size up Brownie pants
    • Charity shop - phone re: donation pick up. (find number first)
    Monday - children/spare room
    Level Three
Dust and wipe of sticky grotty bits Need my dusters to dry first!
    Wash the windows

    Extras
    1. HHI
    2. Wipe down all the woodwork and the bed frames
Tuesday - Kitchen & dining area
    Level One
Sweep and mop floors! - Need to mop them again properly with hot soapy water as opposed to floorwipe
    Level Three
    Wash windows
    Clean out a grotty cupboard
Run the WM/DW through a clean cycle
    Extras
    1. empty and wash out bins
    2. Clear and wipe windows sills
Anyone else noticed the pattern here? I sort of complete level one, do all of level two and grind to a halt :rotfl::rotfl: I'll do more in the kitchen tomorrow when I get in, but for tonight I'm going to tidy up, put dry laundry away, get stuff ready for tomorrow (including making my pack lunch, and one for Thursday as well) then go for a bath and early(ish) bed as I plan on having a mini pamper session to try and help me unwind. The reality may be very different though :rotfl::rotfl: Catch up properly tomorrow when I've safely removed the mop from my derrier (sp?) ;)

Angelnikki - agoraphobia - people who know me now would never comprehend I had severe agoraphobia for two years about 18 years ago. I couldn't do much at all - I could just about get to work and home again but if anything out of the ordinary or non-routine happened, I couldn't cope. I did my food shopping from garage forecourts and corner shops - supermarkets were a nightmare! One day, when the school called to say my daughter needed picking up - I just couldn't cope and had to get the school secretary to walk her home for me. I decided then I needed to do something about it. I ended up finding a hypnotherapist - a lovely lady called Tina - she saved my life. She brought out all sorts of crap from my subconcious so that I could deal with it. 5 years after my recovery, I appeared live on prime time Saturday night TV with no problems. I have not had a relapse since. I, therefore, would heartily recommend hypnotherapy.

    There, my tuppence worth!

You wouldn't guess from how you deal with stuff now Soappie - good on you!

And what did you appear on prime time TV for, or did you expect that to slip through with no-one noticing??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Have you considered Cranial Osteopathy? My DD2 was a miserable, whiny, so and so. (Very quick but traumatic birth) Cranial Osteopathy seemed to release something, about 5 mins after the treatment, she suddenly started sobbing, a deep from the depths type of sobbing. :( But, from there on she was a different person. Just a thought.

What's this Sarah? Sounds like something DS might benefit from (and a few other kids on here I would imagine...:rotfl: )

Errmm, I'm not sure what to tell you about it? Here's a line from Wikipedia "Cranial osteopathy is said to be based on involuntary mechanisms or rhythm which some claim can be felt with a very finely developed sense of touch."

It's quite a long and biased article, but the bit about cranial stuff explains it better than I could. ;)

All I know for sure is that my little thunder storm DD2 became a sunshiny day with occasional outbreaks of rain!!!! IYSWIM! She's a darling now, and I honestly think we'd have killed each other by now without having done it.
