    Evening everyone

Pigpen - that sounds nasty! Hope your bruises heal quickly
Summermoon - well done on the interview! I have everything crossed for you.
Angelnikki - agoraphobia - people who know me now would never comprehend I had severe agoraphobia for two years about 18 years ago. I couldn't do much at all - I could just about get to work and home again but if anything out of the ordinary or non-routine happened, I couldn't cope. I did my food shopping from garage forecourts and corner shops - supermarkets were a nightmare! One day, when the school called to say my daughter needed picking up - I just couldn't cope and had to get the school secretary to walk her home for me. I decided then I needed to do something about it. I ended up finding a hypnotherapist - a lovely lady called Tina - she saved my life. She brought out all sorts of crap from my subconcious so that I could deal with it. 5 years after my recovery, I appeared live on prime time Saturday night TV with no problems. I have not had a relapse since. I, therefore, would heartily recommend hypnotherapy.

    There, my tuppence worth!

Still dont know what's happening work wise. My line manager sent an email out today to the other site saying he could just about spare me for 3 weeks over Christmas but couldn't spare me from the middle of January onwards. There's been no response to that as yet so I still don't know what I'm doing next week! I shall probably find out at 3pm on Friday afternoon.

But, I must off and sort out the kitchen and some dinner. No snow here today but it's been v. cold...

  • Mini rant alert
My friends, who only knew me by my married name have no problem remembering since I went back to my maiden name five years ago, so why do my cousins, who knew me and my parents, still use my married one? So if I am not in when my 'old' cousin's parcel arrives I have to find my old work ID card to show at the parcel office. Parcel just delivered - yup, she did it again. OK nothing much in the great scheme of things, but just get the feeling that if they cared they would remember. (gives self a shake and tells self not to be stupid)
    Rant off

How annoying for you - why don't you call her to say that you can't collect the parcel she sent you because you have no id in your old name and they won't let you collect it... have a little chat and then 'remember' that you might still have something left with your name on for this time... make a point without being nasty... you're right, they should know by now... :D

I agree, but I had 'firm but polite words' with them, they have done this to me before, I could do it on line but they issue you with such complicated user ID's and passwords all case sensitive, I find it a real pain logging on to their site. (and I do understand the need for online security)

But I have a feeling I am just going to have to get use to it, but I would much rather be here and cleaning with you all, so much less stressful!! :rotfl:

Off to do some Sage accounts.

Hi Kaz, what a pain - you know they will come round and you are in the right, but all that wasted time discussing it, and they make you feel like you're in the wrong too, even though you know you're not... at least nearly sorted now... good on you..

I have to do my stuff on line, and I think from next year, you will have to or pay for sending in a paper copy - it's not soooo bad, they send you a credit card sized card with your login details on or just print them out once you've got them, and you can change your password to one that you can remember, so not as bad as it used to be - good luck with the next one!;)
