I'm pooped! Have done the snagging on the bathroom so that's now perfect. I've also played pump mechanic and sorted out the pump on my aerogarden that had stopped working. That was quite fiddly given the plants were still in situ and it had to be turned upside down!

Chicken is in oven and I now need to clean the fish tanks, peel the veg and then look at some planning permission stuff whilst they're cooking.

But, I've just poured myself a G&T and allowing myself 5 minutes sit down.

Thanks Vali - I've just checked 2 more shops here and none - a couple more to check Monday and Tuesday and if I fail then I'll let you know.

Right you are. If you recall I said (at least I think I said I may have been just thinking...) that Thursday/Friday is best for me to post stuff so pm your address for then...

I have realised that they aren't in supermarkets because the packaging is not supermarket friendly...and they can be opened easily. That would be why local shops and traditional shops still stock them.

Talking of packaging not being shop friendly I buy t zone pore strips (you have to remove them very very slowly but they do work) and superdrug recently had an offer on. Picked up one box and decided to check the contents, there are 6 strips in every box. In that box there were NONE! Again these have no seal of any description. I did hand it in as clearly leaving it on the shelf might have meant someone buying an empty box.

jjef once I'd counted 100 pairs paired up I gave up counting!

Kerry groups have an office in Surrey too, I know someone who works there, but a lot of the walls stuff is made near me, however where the meat comes from I don't know, just don't think I have ever seen irish on the label, been a while since I bought any, used to get them free when someone I know worked there. I am sure their website will have info on tomorrow, if not drop them an email

SarahS I am from a family of diabetics, there is loads of stuff online about diet etc

Right, kids scoffing so I am sock sorting again (DP doesn't feel like eating yet) If one person says they can't find socks this week I'll throttle them, carrier bag each done for the boys! Another 2 bags found full of undies :( how long before I loose my head and start throwing them out ? :rotfl:

    Evening all,

A big thanks to toots and lil_me for finding the book for me. I checked Abebooks by putting in the title, so I don't know why it couldn't find it - that is the right one toots. I've looked into the ABC books on abebooks' site, but it says that delivery is from the US or Australia and it will take 7-14 days (more if it's delayed at customs), so think I'll give that one a miss. Will check out amazon again in a minute - don't know why I decided against them before - think they couldn't guarantee it for christmas or something.

Went to the gym this morning and then did the food shopping, had lunch then went to visit elderly neighbour from old flat to show her the photos from our holiday which I finally picked up yesterday (tesco were meant to phone when they came in but didn't). I gave her a photo of Ebony (our cat) as she misses him so much, and she was really pleased. She said she hates living where we used to live now cos she gets so lonely, and she's seriously considering moving to sheltered accommodation. :( I've told here that I'll visit next weekend cos of the parcel that I'm having delivered to her, so she'll have something to look forward to. I miss her too - shame she couldn't be our lodger - she wouldn't be able to manage the stairs though, and she likes having her independence.

I'm really tired after going to the gym, but I must change our sheets in a minute and put two loads of washing away that have been hanging around for the last week.:o Then I suppose I'd better do some washing up which I left OH to do and he hasn't done it, and make a start on dinner. OH won't be home til around 9pm, so will just have to peel the potatoes ready for the mash and find out how long our pies take to cook. He usually rings just before he leaves so I know when to have it ready by.

Anyone up for a HHC 7.10-7.40? I'll use it to do the above, but I am conscious of promising that I'd be doing them when I got back from holiday, and haven't so far.

    Well best get on.

PS Hugs to poorlies - there seem to be a lot of bugs about at the moment.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
