Rach ((big hugs)) good luck, wish I only had 2.5 stone to loose, don't let it stop you enjoying yourself. I'm on the implant now as they said that it does effect your weight (I was on the injections previous to that but same stuff)
Zoey, I'll admit I was fine the 2 days after my gallbladder op and liver biopsies, I was kept on bed rest the first day with having my liver chopped because sometimes they bleed. I was back looking after 2 kids (one who was 2 and other was about 5 months) and cleaning the house the second day, I didn't haver much choice however as someone needed to look after them. However everyones different, listen to what your body tells you.
Craftyscholar, like you said it'll be fine, once you get the first time over with
Valli well done for sticking to your guns on that one and not slapping her across the chops for being a madam!
Gryfon I have Delia's Christmas cookbook, an old one ( :o I wasn't as good the day I popped into the charity shop then) if you need a recipe from it drop me a PM
jjef, serena and summermoon hope you feel better soon
juliejim I don't do going to the PO as it's only open mornings, I just order redeliveries for when I will be in, I can't be doing with the queues there either, or parking in town, yak, someones are coming on Tuesday I think as there was a card through then
kazw men are awful to buy for at the best of times, why don't you tell him he either tells you what he wants or gets nothing?
juliejim, bribe is giving the reward before the behaviour, rewarding after the behaviour and giving a reason for the behaviour to improve isn't bribery, it's a motivator, so tell him to :p be quiet :rotfl:

Littlewoods order arrived in part this morning, bit strange on a Sunday, pleased I didn't 'pay' for the next day delivery as it would have only been delivered on Monday....

Have had to cancel my Xmas night out with DP :( he's still not well and will only be miserable, not want to eat any of the meal etc so have just given up, maybe next year :rotfl: anyway plus points are it saves me getting ready to go out, getting Mam's bed out which would mean moving a lot of stuff, finding duvets etc. We have been to the park, fed the very hungry ducks/swans who were having a go at your fingers after eating what you gave them, DP and the kids sliding around on the ice and me stood worrying they will fall :o I don't do ice!

Need to get more advent stuff for boys, bought them 2 calendars and Megan has shredded them, she's driving me mad, she also shredded a book of DS1s probably because she thought there was chocolate in it so DS1 screamed the house down.

Wow wicked witch is getting the boys some Xmas presents again, DPs going with her on Tuesday to get them (because she doesn't know them well enough to buy for them) I'll still never forgive her for the year she bought them a selection box then told them she'd eaten it, she's evil and I hate her.

Hmmm, suppose I should do some sorting in my room :( desk definately won't fit where I wanted to put it, can't think of anywhere else for it....Will join that HHC and see if I can clear some of the floordrobe.....
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi Toots...
Yeah I noticed - they get so much thrown at them when they see all the xmas stuff around. So all kids seem to get hyper...
She is now writing her cards having apologised...

Anyway I have made dinner, which was chicken casserole and there was enough left over for the kids tea tomorrow so I have put it in a casserole dish, covered it with mash (like a cottage pie) and christened it Somerton Pie
because DS won't eat leftovers and DD doesn't like casserole... so I am hoping the disguise will work. On a Monday they have to make their own tea - usually something I have prepared (and almost always it's cottage pie...) I don't really like them using pans when I am not around.

toochoosey anyone who doesn't know that's how awful someone can be has obviously never met my WIL!:rotfl: that's just one of the many examples of her behaviour I give when people say I am being harsh for using the word HATE, difference is I mean it and she deserves it. Luckily for me she works abroad, but there are also twists in that, she left just as her Mother found out she had cancer, uses her Mothers appointments as excuses to come back then goes away with friends and doesn't see her Mother, last time she was back DP forced her to go and see her Mother the day she left because she'd seen her once in the 3 weeks she was back, she didn't see the boys at all. There are many many more incidents which justify it but I prefer to just ignore her as much as possible, that example of course is one of the ones that will stay with me, and DS1 who remembers clearly, every year. She tries every time she is back to cause issues between me and DP, usually buys him something, I'd said no to a new car so she bought him one, same with his quad bikes etc he's now learned it's a good way to get something. Money doesn't buy love is something she fails to realise but DP is quite materialistic.

I've made a start in my room, decided as boys are now watching star wars, DP included, I'll sock sort, I hate it and feel a disposal coming on, anyone not matched up today is being removed and made into a duster, sock wars begins!

JJ & froddy well done, I'm going to do another, sock sorting!!
One day I might be more organised...........
