Justamum...I keep saying that they can't do x, y and z and whilst I don't mind stopping them from going to club I feel mean saying that they can't go to the Christmas party
kazwookie...I can do that on the outside if I can get the roof rack off, it's the inside which is really grubby!
Waiting for this bread to finish cooking...20 minutes and I can eat!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Ooooh just a quickie, does anyone know if you can freeze carrots from fresh - as in without blanching. I just want to chop them up and then pop them in the freezer bagged up like that. And to tell you the truth I cannot be mithered faffing around with blanching while cooking cakes etc..Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

ooh my arms and shoulders HURT!
been to town - both Woolies and BHS were packed - needed cards from BHS half price then a further 20% off and wanted tree lights for my classroom so got them from Woolies - also bought a nativity model reduced as I have long thought I should have one in the classroom...
thanks embb New L00k ugg type bought just under a tennner as the VAT has come down - suede too... these are for DD for xmas...
So far however the half0rds vouchers have NOT arrived - they were supposed to be posted out 1st class recorded Thursday so I am not happy - especially as I need them for Monday and if they come then I will be out, unable to collect them from the PO sorting office which is only open in the MORNINGS...
Maybe they will come tomorrow we had a delivery last Sunday so there's a chance. If not I will have to phone Half0rds and tell them I cannot pick up the bike...
DS had a good night no more vomit (phew) but is not yet eating. I have phoned the football team manager to tell him I don't think he will be fit to play tomorrow...if he doesn't eat today I am NOT letting him go. Having said that it's an away fixture so I am quite pleased with his timing.
I have bought the meltlets (priced them up at superdrug but found them about 30p cheaper at Wilko) so splurged on some disinfectant spray for the bathroom just in case while I was in there as well as other stuff...
Thanks for the card Natty!
I have also had a card for the previous residents AGAIN - this will be my 10th xmas in this house...not long since I was getting phone calls from an aged aunt as another helpful relation had programmed their old telephone number into the phone (ie my number) and she would not be told I wasn't her relative! In the end I just told her we were all well and basically played along. I did phone them and ask them to sort it but they weren't quick... The old lady said - no I know it's your number because it's programmed into the phone.
Mind you one of her (former occupier) sisters in law used to regularly give out this number when asked for her own number, presumably to avoid unwanted calls. It stopped when I played the 'I can't understand how this is happening but I am getting phone calls for your sister in law card' I knew full well she was giving out this number but it did stop. How green do they think I am?
It's a bit awkward because I know the former occupants...I used to work with her, that's how we came to buy the house...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hello all
I managed with DH's help to get prepared and tidied last night in time for guests. Lovely meal and pud and plenty of wine. Piled everything up last night and DH washed up this morning!
I nipped up our little high street as needed extra present for BiL and want to give them their stuff this weekend. Found a couple of baby bits in woolies as friend had baby yesterday but in the end i couldn't face the queue! And completely forgot to get my watch batery changed which was why i went in the first place!
Not much flying to be done here, will do the bedroom and change the bed tomorrow as I like it clean on a sunday nightthink we need the extra thick duvet on now. I do want to unpack the magimix, work out if I can whip cream in it and then make the pud i'm taking to DH's parents tonight, plus wrap all the prezzies i've got so far. we're going out at 4 so that's probably plenty to keep me going, plus the WM needs to go on a few times!
