Morning :hello: For some strange reason I was up at 5.20am this morning and have got on with the flying like a woman possessed.

DH has his alarm set for 5.22am () on a work day, but I was hoping to have a nice lie-in today. Unfortunately at about 5.20am the phone rang :mad:. It was MIL phoning to wish DH a happy birthday! Even with the two hour time difference (which she had forgotten about - she thought it was only an hour) 6.20am would have been far too early for a Saturday. Maybe tomorrow will be better

Managed to get the Christmas tree out, but had to wait for DH to get back from town to fix it - the socket for the plug had been pushed into the base. We are going to decorate it later when DD1 is back and DS is back from rugby.

Took the recycling to the dump.

Bought a couple of things to make a birthday cake for DH.

Now going into the kitchen to do some baking - melktert and orange birthday cake (he doesn't like chocolate. Mind you, neither do I. I used to be a chocoholic, but can't stand the stuff now )

Mr G forgot to turn off his alarm since Tuesday when he was working 7-2 so it was going off at 6am  3 times I told him because I don't know how to switch it off and finally this morning he did it when he got in from work, I think I might have sounded slightly peeved :rotfl:

Just having a coffee before I need to get on and clear the kitchen table and do the dishwasher.

Come and do my car? Maybe I'll take the children outside when DD2 is having her nap after lunch and do it.

The children are helping me clear the kitchen table and I've sent them downstairs to sort the tumble dryer for me, just been told it's wet so now they're going to put it on for 10 minutes whilst DD1 does her tuba practice and DS has a play down there.

Still haven't managed to motivate myself. I've got a stonking headache and cold (courtesy of DH who managed to bring it back from work the other day, but managed to shake it off before it took hold). I really must get on and do something - I'm being nagged by my bossy 3 year old atm :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm quite surprised I've actually done stuff. But even though I've still got this cold my back isn't twinging :j The children even though they're being a bit too loud and I keep having to tell them to shush have at least had a go at their rooms and helped me try to clean the kitchen table :D

Just put DD2's hair up in pigtails for the first time and she looks so cute! It's pulled all the hair off her face which is good as it was looking rather scraggly and messy.

Finishing off my coffee and then I'm off till 1pm and going to try and sort the washing and finish clearing the kitchen table.

    Afternoon all,

I'm about, just, but struggling for some reason. I am tired and my foot is playing me up - darn thing just won't heal. But I think I have figured out why now - DH hit on the reason last night, he reakons it's cos of the CFS that it is taking so long to heal as apparently things take longer to shift when you have chronic fatigue. Oh well I won't be able to do any leap frogging in the near future then..hehehe.

Sorry I haven't been around the past few days not quite sure what happened with me there. I seem to have spent the majority of the time playing around on Facebook and sleeping, oh well I'm here now and sort of raring to go.

*Major hugs* to everyone this weekend I think, as you all seem to need/deserve them.

On to my list for today seeing as DH is playing Santa at the local steam railway and I have the afternoon without him. Better get what I can done before he comes home as he is now on a weeks holiday from work, so that we can go out and do our Christmas shopping as well as the decorating of the lounge.

    Weekend list..

    Write remaining cards
Make chocolate cake, mince pies and cheese straws for freezing
Chop the glut of carrots and freeze
Clean cat tray and refresh with new litter
    Pink washing load
    Blue washing load

That should keep me going for a bit I think..

Meant to add that I have sent all my cards out to those on the Christmas list, they went out on Thursday morning via DH on his way to work. So you should all be receiving one from me very shortly..

Oooh a quick query, I received a card that was blank with a Medway/Maidstone postmark on. It's a lovely gold embossed tree card, is it from anyone on here? Thought I would ask before I go hunting out elsewhere...

My DD1 has a party and a sleepover tonight. I've told her that when she gets back from orchestra she has to tidy her room otherwise she's not going :D

My DD2 won't even let me brush her hair. It's such a battle and often looks like a bird's nest. When she does have it tied up in pigtails it always looks cute.

I'm going to kick myself up the b!m and finally go and do something.

Gryfon I would love to come and clean your car, but sadly you are too far away, it is the sort you could drive through a car wash? It might be quixker than waiting for me to arrive!!

Natty you take little flying steps first, and I hope the foot heals.

Right hair colour on, and timer on my mobile going so I remember when to take it off the hair colour that is.
