Summermoon great news! Well done! Will you get discounts too? I don't use there often, bit too far for me, but I do like some of their things. Tomorrow, wow, that's quick, hope it goes well.

embb and Lady-Liberty your cards arrived today, someone elses cards (I think that is what they are) are at the sorting office lol
Kassey thanks for the card
Dusty hope Woody is feeling better soon
Christmas dinner, last year was FR Turkey from farm shop I always use, this year will be beef and chicken because we prefer it.
Went to Metro Centre, Woolies sale was naff, there were better offers last year to be honest, soooo many ignorant pushing people it just wound me up, got what I wanted and went! Wandered into a few other shops and wandered out empty handed, thought 'I can get better offers online' at everything I looked at....DP took his phone back to be fixed, came home inc getting stuck in crackers traffic. I don't know why some people actually like going shopping, it's awful! Hoping to send DP on his own to collect the phone when it's done, going there twice in a week would make me ill!
Sat yawning and looking at the Christmas presents list for others, few things I still need to finish that list, might see if I can order some of them tonight, don't want to have to go out and buy them unless I really really have to!One day I might be more organised...........

I've deleted approximately 15,000 SPAM ones :mad::mad:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Oh bother, I don't feel better now :rotfl: I delete most of the spam ones straight away on most of the accounts, it's just keeping the stuff I like I am bad for
toots try typing your reply in word/notepad/wordpad then copy/paste it into your replies, sending a lot of replies requires more from your internet connection than one larger one usually. One day I might be more organised...........

He has been and fitted the blind and gone away again. So I could hoover.
Right. Obviously me just being a bit thick :rotfl:Now you really are my sort of person
Books are pretty sacred in our house. We have over 1000 (after we inherited FIL's 400 odd books). Because we rent it's always difficult finding a house which is big enough to take the books, plus 5 of us, at a rent we can afford. I'm hoping this lease lasts a few years!SummerMoon wrote: »I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!:j :j :j :T :T

Off to get caught up on the thread. Back soon!:T
CONGRATULATIONS :T:T:T
Been to the doctors and he gave me a cortisone (I think) injection in my back to help with the bit that's in pain. Back to see him in two weeks to see how it's going. Got an aching back and leg now though
I had a cortisone injection in my ankle years ago because I had achillles tendonitis. The pain afterwards was worse than the ankle had been before, but it did work. My DH has had tennis elbow in both elbows but cortisone injections haven't helped him unfortunately.Penny good luck with the singing, what a wonderful place to do your first public performance.
Have I missed something? Is this a professional appearance, and where is it?
DH has taken DD1 for her swimming lesson, and phoned me to send him the phone number of the video shop as he has seen a film he wants to book out for tomorrow night - but he's being very mysterious about what it is. Says it's going to be a surprise. I can't think of any film which has come out recently which I've been desperate to see
Need to go and get DD2 ready for bed then I can do some sewing.0 -
Evening all
Summermoon - congrats on the job - well done you!!!!! :T:T
A strange day at work. My last on the new site until next year (how far away that sounds!). Just as I was beginning to get the hang of things.... but hey, I'll cope....
Just had a couple of hours gin and gossip with Nice Neighbour next door. I'm now slightly squiffy and need to find SOMETHING for dinner!
My personal weekend list goes like this: (if I don't type it up, I'll forget!)- Auction house tomorrow morning - they have some more maps in
- Planning objection letter
- Clean fish tanks
- Start on demoulding bathroom ready for Christmas
- Write Christmas cards
- Finish presentation for community meeting next Thursday
- Do lots and lots and lots of Dysoning and cleaning in the house - it's a tip!
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

lil_me - posted my cards to you today - was too late to get to the post office so guessed the postage - I think there's plenty on it but let me know if you have to pay more!!!
jjef sent your card direct - seemed silly to send it down to lil_me when you are just 'along the road' :rotfl: :rotfl:
flower - you have been having a lot of headaches - have you been to doc to see about it? - hope you feel better now.
summermoon thats fantastic news and a quick start - brilliant - well done you!!!!!!
penny sounds like you will look lovely tonite - have a fab time and hope the singing goes well tomorrow - impressive stuff and a lovely place to perform.
I am sure I have missed someone but just did a quick skim as I am a bit tired and want to get a little done before bedtime.
I was away from 9 this morning until 5.30 - I travelled to meet a friend and then we went in her car and took a friend(89) who lives in a homeand we both worked for, out for her first christmas lunch - was very nice but a bit tiring for all of us.
off to find my rather long list and see what's in store for the weekend!

toots try typing your reply in word/notepad/wordpad then copy/paste it into your replies, sending a lot of replies requires more from your internet connection than one larger one usually.
The problem is more that if I dont keep refreshing or using pages then the connection just dies and I have to restart the whole pc - not the internet, its a whole shut down and restart job!! IYSWIM!! sometimes it lasts for hours and then the next time it can be minutes - its really frustrating!

Justamum...I have my fingers crossed it works! Also hoping that I don't have to pay for it as well
Anyone want to sort my Christmas list for me and for what I'm getting for everyone else? I just can get my brain around to doing it. Brain hurts....Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Who's your supplier Toots, can't they do something about it? That's really bad and is down to them surely?
When you loose the connection, where you have right clicked, why don't you copy from those tabs onto a word doc and then save that doc on your desktop or somewhere so that when you re-boot you still have the info? or does the computer just freeze completly?LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0
