Kassey thanks for the Christmas card :A xx

    Seconded! :D

I'm hoping to get mine written this weekend....but we'll see:o

Still sorting email out. Had to resort to logging on through the website instead as the thing was so slow. Still got 47000 to go as I can only deal with 100 at a time through the website.

I have managed to swap the washing over, 2nd lot of towels in the WM, and my laptop is downloading Ultimate Office package ;) Not got very far with the studying though. I must try harder :o

Is that the time!!! School sprint time never mind run!!!!:eek::eek:

No. We're not going to bother switching over, just keep the tv to watch dvds. We get our signal from the Beacon Hill transmitter group, which is apparently the first one to go off. We have a transmitter a couple of hundred yards from us and last week they were putting something on it to be able to get digital signals because even if we had a box we wouldn't have been able to get digital (don't know whether it's up and running yet though).

    Hey there Justamum .

.what I meant was that we dont get a good reception on the tv alone but with the freeview box we get a lot more channels and the picture is brilliant (with the same aerial) ,,,plus we get the digital channels like bbc3 and 4 and all the bbc radio channels and bbc 7 where you can listen to the stories ,,,
I just got my new freeview box from Morrissons I think it was about £14 but they do cheaper ones in tesco I think and if you get one and it doesnt work yopu can always take it back and get you money back.

    I hope this helps you

Up until last Saturday there was no digital signal available near us at all so a Freeview box wouldn't have worked. We would have needed a Sky box to get anything other than the 4 terrestrial channels (can't get Channel 5 either). As we're not bothering "upgrading" we aren't going to get the Freeview box. I could happily live without the tv taking up valuable space in the corner. We could easily get another bookcase in there :rotfl::rotfl:

    Ah I like this joke:

On a really hot day, four nuns were assigned to paint a room in their church.
After sweating for a few hours in those black robes,
they decided to take off all their clothes and paint naked.
An hour later, someone knocked on the door of the church.
"Who is it?" they called out.
"I'm the blind man," came the reply.
The nuns decided to let him in since he wouldn't be able to see them.
They opened the door and led him to the room they were painting.
They were surprised when he walked around the room with no difficulty.

"Okay, sisters," he said, "where do you want the blinds?"

Just back, was hellish at school! Forgot to put the bread on which is very annoying. Takes 3 hours to cook so would be too late :( Need to go and put the soup on now though, have the doctors in an hour!
