  • Hi

Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. So far today I've done errands. My aims for the rest of the day are to do more errands and laundry and tidy up

Had lunch, put more paper into the recyling. Sitting still makes me cold, even though I have full thermals on, 2 pairs of socks and 2 jumpers and was in the kitchen near the AGA. Going to do HHC damp dusting now to warm up then a nice cuppa.

  • Food shopping completed - and nipped to Woolies next door and managed to find a V-Tech adaptor for a £1. A fantastic find as we've broken ours.

Opened a little used cupboard at home and the contents fell out - methinks this had better be on next weeks list. :D

Now having a rest before braving the school run.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    So far today I've
    • Stripped and changed all beds (waiting for our bedding to be dry!)
    • WM x 2
    • Made dough for 4 loaves - [strike]on its first rise[/strike] rising in tins
    • Phoned up a magazine to cancel subscription - I'd forgotten about it until an e-mail popped into my inbox saying Paypal had paid!
    • Printed off passport forms x 3 for childrens' South African passports so DH can apply for them when he goes next year
    • Started a £2 coin saving tin - £4 already :j:D
    • Wrapped DHs present and written card (his birthday tomorrow)
    Need to
    • go to Post Office to cash cheque
    • go shopping with proceeds from said cheque :D
    • pick up passport form for DH (or he's not going anywhere next year :rotfl:)
    • make pizza dough for dinner
    • tidy up kitchen
    • [strike]vac round[/strike]
    • dust everywhere
    • remove all 11 badges from DS's cubs uniform and sew them onto his new one  (got nearly a fortnight before it's needed so I'll pace myself :rotfl:)
    • Take recycling to dump - the containers are full!

Zaza, I have updated my family tree on genes reunited, and come across my cousins daughter, my step son's wife, my ex hubbies nephew's step daughter!! I am sure I will find more!!
Excellent! Sounds like you'll do well with getting new information, hopefully it'll build up fast. I found it tailed off after the first few months, I'm at the stage now where I ought to travel round England looking in the churchyards etc but I can't see that happening any time soon.

I've just watched Doctors with an irritating message across the top of the screen telling me the tv needs to be ready for digital switchover on 8th April. I don't think I can stand 5 months of that. I'm sure those who want to go digital will know all about it and will have done so. You'd have to be living on a remote island not to know about it! So why do they have to spoil our viewing by covering the top of the screen?:mad:

Now that's off my chest I'll go off to do a few more jobs from my list.

I LOVE doing that - any North Derbyshire/South Yorkshire ones on your list... I might even be able to scout 'em for you.
