Ooh DD wants some uggs - I am trying to persuade her to have similar but not yer actual Uggs.. I'll have a look...
BTW It'll be salt...as boots get wet they draw up the salted water, the water evaporates and you get a salt residue on your footwear. Try a damp cloth or steaming...

Thanks I'll try that, the boots are lovely real suede, were £25 but apparently there's £15 off them so a tenner, I only got them for £7 cause DD1 works there, but I'd still pay a tenner for them, they're lovely....and I'm fussy so they must be. Hope your DD gets some at that price.

    I'm really off now, ta-ra.

    Morning all

    Posting first and reading later.

It was wet when I got up this morning but it's dry and sunny now. One load of washing done but hung up indoors, doesn't seem like a drying day to me.

I'm "on holiday" from work so I'm trying to make it feel a bit like a holiday. I'm just planning to vacuum through downstairs in a minute and, when the "blind man" upstairs has finished I'll be doing a bit of vacuuming up there.

I have taken the dog out and peeled the spuds for dinner and generally tidied round and washed up etc.

    Hope everyone's OK.

    Morning all

    I've done my dalies
Taken kitten for his first jabs - he was not impressed

I was going to hoover but my Miele has died! I think the switch where you can put the pole to turn it off whilst hoovering is broken so will get OH to take a look tonight.

Toots - you can return to store or by post (I've done both) but if the order has not been dispatched you can cancel indidvidual items or the whole order by going into the accounts section on the website. I'm useless at buying gifts but if I think of something then I'll let you know. Most gardeners are always happy with garden stuff!

G&B you get charged for ebay withdrawals below £50

Serena I hope you enjoy bluewater - I've only been there once

    Plan for the day:

    sort paperwork in family room
    Orders:
    BJA
    Amazon
    Mindware
    clean family room

If I have time - surveys and emails
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

Morning, well afternoon here now, and thanks Toots, Mudbath, SarahS, Flower and anyone else I've missed for your kind words. I know you are all lovely and very supportive to anyone who comes on here... My problem is that I take so long to decide what I'm going to say that my 15 min flylady breaks get instantly used up with one post. Then I never get time to read anyone else's posts! Apart from the fact that I'm in 25 yahoo groups and try and keep up with 10 other forums as well............this is the nicest one though I have to say!:D
Anyway, talking of flying it's time I gave my bread its second knead and did some laundry.
Hope everyone has a successful and happy Friday!
    xx

Not much in the way of flying or studying done but I have managed to :
    • Empty dehumidifier thing in the bathroom
    • Take down the blind in the bathroom and put it in the wash (towel which I made into a blind ;) )
    • Washed a batch of dishes
    • Cancelled an Xmas order (majorly delayed so I hunted and got them yesterday in town instead;))
    • Sorted my emails out (got mailwasher going ATM to get my ISP email sorted out - no idea how many there will be though  )
    • Ordered a new mobile. Mines been playing up for weeks, its ex's old one so its at least 3 years old and I use it a lot to send texts and take pics so I've upgraded slightly from a Sony Ericsson K510i to a K770i. ;) It should be here tomorrow :D
    • Put the washing on.
    • Drank 2 hot chocolates.
    • Spoke to my mum on the phone for a bit.
:rotfl::rotfl: Now I really need to get some studying done :o

ETA : email on ISP is 51,430 - I think I need to check it more often!!!

 I'm back! DD2 is refusing to come out of her highchair however I suppose that means that I can tidy the floor and it'll stay that way for a while ;)

So far today I've managed to:
Fed children and got them all to school
    Changed and dressed baby
    Emptied dishwasher
Loaded dishwasher (still not on as need more washing)
    Put washing machine on
Finally put old oil into bottle to go in the bin...I would have reused it but DS threw his dirty sock into the tray it was in  I did consider reusing it as it gets very hot but I dunno :rotfl:
Done a sinkful of washing up and put a pan with chicken dripping stuck to it in to soak.
Moved the bags off the kitchen floor (usually takes me ages!)
    Written some cards

So not loads but more than I usually do! Oh and also stuck some deep heat type cream onto my back as it's giving me grief, back is lovely and warm now though!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible

That's one of my fave corny jokes:D :rotfl:

Kids beds made floor cleared and desperate surfaces wiped so I can vacuum in there and they can tidy/put away when they get in from school. Am going to make my bed, dust and vacuum my room and do theirs THEN I can eat...

embb have looked on line and found the boots to which you refer in Tan - down to a tenner so I figured you scored a 30% staff discount... unfortunately they don't have her size on line so I'll cross my fingers they are in town tomorrow - way cheaper than 'proper' uggs. Nice boots!

    BIG PEOPLE WORDS

A group of kindergartners were trying very hard to become accustomed to the first grade.

The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on NO baby talk!
You need to use 'Big People' words,' she was always reminding them.
She asked John what he had done over the weekend
'I went to visit my Nana'.
No, you went to visit your GRANDMOTHER.
    Use 'Big People' words!'
She then asked Mitchell what he had done
    'I took a ride on a choo-choo'.
She said. 'No, you took a ride on a TRAIN.
You must remember to use 'Big People' words'.
She then asked little Alex what he had done
'I read a book' he replied.
    That's WONDERFUL!' the teacher said.
    'What book did you read?'

    ( You'll love this.....)
Alex thought real hard about it,
Then puffed out his chest with great pride, and said,
    'Winnie the !!!!!!
