Asda Overcharging policy

I have had to contact Head Office a couple of times when I've been refused the giftcard and they are usually very good about it and send me one. I have a theory that some CS staff in store are told not to give one out unless the customer insists and most people either won't know about it or won't want to cause a fuss, and then the store manager will look good when it comes to balance sheets etc. It's 5 o'clock somewhere!0

Think Asda have changed their policy again lately, not sure if they are doing something like Tesco. My husband bought me a chocolate birthday cake from Asda, anyway it was so dry and disgusting, even my Mil who works in Asda said it was horrible and to take it back. So I took most of the cake back and they gave me the £7.00 back but said they would give me double back so got £14.00. Was not expecting this at all but very nice :beer:0

Yes. It was per item. At the beginning of last year, it changed to per transaction. It's now back to per item.
Has anyone asked or got the one per item yet?0 -
i was overcharged for 2 different items last week and was given the £2 gift card. I questioned if I should have been given £4 and was told no it was only 1 for that receipt.0

i didn't know about the £2 gift card-but was charged twice for a £16 dress at the till. I ask if they had gone through twice - and the sales assitant said it hadn't - on getting the receipt it was obvious it had - and she just said go to customer services and tell them. They made no checks - just asked what till number and refunded the money - then handed me the gift card for £2 - this was on 5th September at the Robroyston store (Glasgow).0

ASDA once had a specific policy - "If you are nto satified, you get a 200% refund." I bought some Fudge which was gorgeous, but the toffee from the same brand wasn't too good.
So I took it and asked for my 200% refund. They simply refused, giving me full money back (100% refund) only.
I also picked up a 6 pack of Irn Bru which was 6 500ml bottles and the packaging clearly said "only £1.19". At the till they told me the price was £1.19 PER BOTTLE, not for the 6 pack. I argued and said if the packaging says £1.19 thats the price of the pack. They wouldn't give it to me for that.0 -
I added two packs of pop priced at £2 each last night to my delivery for this morning. After they were delivered I realised I'd been charged £3.65 each an overcharge of £3.30. I rang CS who informed me that prices can change & I'd have to lump it. Unbeleivable other grocery websites inform you if the price will go up on the delivery date, but not Asda, I wonder why? I will definitely not be using Asda again!0

They once had a " 200% guarantee " on their extra special or whatever it was called range if you are not satisfied get a 200% refund. But they failed to honor that too.0
