"Pay Off Your Mortgage in Two Years"

Well done you two. I'm glad there is finally a show on TV about being creative and enterprising. We're in the information age and with the wonders of the internet you'll find a lot of people these days making money on the side. Everything is available to you these days. You'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0

What I said in the other thread, I think it's pretty close to what Sean just said.I don't think that they will pay the mortgage off in 2 years. But then again, calling a programme "repay your mortgage 33% more quickly" isn't going to get the viewers in.
As with all TV, filter the programme based on the fact that it's carefully edited together from countless hours of material. So the programme makers will try and make some drama and a story out of the bits that they like.
PS: there were a few moments when I thought "Ricky Gervais behaviour lookey likey".
Ahhh, the risks of going on TV.Happy chappy0 -
Lol Sean, I so wanted to slap you when you decided to give your day job up....I was in the background quietly sympathising with Anne-Marie. :rotfl: Looks like it all ended ok though.
I was glad to see the disagreements, it made the program more realistic. Financial issues are usually a cause for stress for anyone so it wouldn't have rung true if the producers had only shown 'happy' scenes.
I do wonder why you didn't just hypnotise Ann-Marie into agreeing to decorate the hall though?
Wish you both well and I hope you achieve your aims.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Well done Anne-Marie and Sean. I thought the program was very good, even inspiring, and it has made me thing of ways we can create more income. I thought you both came across very well on TV. Congrats also to A-M on the weight loss - 7st, wow. Hope you enjoyed your day at Ragdale Hall.0

I turned the TV over & found this programme by accident but found it really watchable.
I liked the point the presenter made when the line was drawn down Anne Marie & Seans house to show just exactly which part was still owned by the bank!
Also helped to emphasise the point about looking at the cost of buying things over a year, something that I never did before coming to this site! Like Sean though I hate making packed lunches but hey its worth it in the end.
Good luck Anne-Marie & Sean hope you achieve your goal'Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams and fairy tales, thats's all she ever thinks about riding with the wind' - Little wing, Jimi Hendrix0 -
I had to do an airport run so missed most of it
I liked the bit where no-one could more work out that function F5 would switch the projector on
Sorry, but I was shouting at the screen at that point0 -

It's repeated on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 2am on BBC One - and there's a new programme with a different family next Thursday night at 8pm on BBC Two (except Wales digital)..0 -
Thanks for telling me.
We have not been paid one penny for this programme and I am only too happy to show anyone a copy of our contract.
If I got paid I would pay it off in two minths lol.
Where is it on the BBC site?
Glad u told me it is repeated I didn't know that!!
Cheers

Sean says if anyone knows a good decorator please get in touch lol. Seriously, any recommendations appreciated
Thanks also to Tom Stickland for his kind comments.

Well done you two!!
Your programme inspired me!! I think 2 years is very unrealistic for me but i'll watch the rest of the series with interest and see how it all goes for everyone. Good luck for the future!!
