I have to say that I would agree with Pilot bob.
I too work in the aviation industry as crew and would NEVER EVER get on an aircraft if I had any concerns !
I do not work for flyglobespan but know people that do. As also bob stated, the industry is very small, when it comes to matters like these.
regardless of who I work for, large or small airline, the same safety, security procedures are very black and white and will never (IMO) be broken or put in question.
AI am a Travel AgentMy company’s ABTA number is V2043. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.
I am also Cabin Crew, my posts are my own and not that of the airline or other company0 -
Thanks Pilot-Bob for your posts. Helps to get the view of someone who is in the know and is able to factually report on the situation and not just quoting what has been said in the media!!
I have flown with GS many times and have never felt unsafe on any of their flights and certainly would not be put off flying with them in the future. I hope GS are around for many years to come0 -
Excellent posts Pilot-bob

I have booked a flight today with Globespan, and I've just noticed a slight problem.
My wife and I are travelling to Majorca in June, but in the online booking I've missed changing the Title dropdown from Mr to Mrs for my wife.
So, she is in as Mr Margaret, but when I go to the Globespan site to view the booking it only shows initials for first name so she is Mr M.
I started to change the Title online, but found I was going to be charged £40 for a name change.
What's the best course of action.

Phone them to put it right. Id be surprised if you were charged anything.0 -
I wouldn't fly with GSM, I've heard too many horror stories from fellow colleagues who have previously worked for them and my passengers who have travelled with them, maybe I shouldn't listen to galleyFM but in my opinion there are many more reputable airlines to fly with.
Just my personal opinion, of couse

Thanks Sturll,
I phoned Admin in Edinburgh, and when I explained the problem the guy said he would fix it, and to look at my booking on the the internet in 10 minutes.
Sure enough it was changed without charge.0
