Morning all, oops just realised its pm already! Up early again, DH had a darts comp last night so I was taxi and it was a late one 1.30am then the snoring, and youngest playing cars around 7.30 outside the bedroom door. Ah bless! Have managed to get lots of jobs done though, wm on second wash now and BM on for pizza tonight. DH off to work (with sore head I think) Must think about writing some Christmas cards, have been a bit lazy in that dept as we have no one visiting this Christmas so just the kids to buy for really. Its difficult finding pressies that dont cost too much to post so I will be taking pics of the children and trying to put them into some Christmas card frame cards that I got for 2 euro for a pack of 10. Hope they turn out well will make a pressie/card in one. Made lots of twinks hobnobs yesterday and they have been found by hubby and the kids so probably about half left.
Really frosty here today but the sun is shining so hopefully washing will dry and the dog will get a nice walk. Happy shopping to anyone braving the shops and hope everyone with colds feels a little better after the weekend.

    Afternoon all,

Very cold here to-day and I gather that it is to stay that way until at least Tuesday...no sun to-day either, so will take clothes off line and see if I can dry them indoors...

Went to one of the sheds to take in high chair to wash as DD2 arrives with the girls on Wednesday....discovered that bottom bit was there but not important bit...now have to do a trawl of sheds and attics, thought I was being so smart remembering before she came!

One pudding just cooked, other goes on then, made some mince pies yesterday as well, will make some more to-day and that's it for Christmas, may not even ice cake as everybody seems to remove icing and leave on plate! Was going to buy a frozen turkey yesterday but need to check freezer space first...don't want to have to eat a turkey this close to Christmas because I have nowhere to put it, just buying one large enough for Christmas Day, we go to my brother's on St Stephen's Day (Boxing Day to you in UK) and that will be enough turkey and ham for a while thank you, although have an Australian cousin arriving on 31st December so might do a proper turkey dinner on New Year's Day...Australians know nothing about them....

Have been sticking my bocketty dining chairs together and pleased with results so far, think I now have 10, but will make sure that the lighter people in the family sit on them, just in case!

Really should be doing things other than sitting here enjoying myself, so must make a start soon...have paid my car insurance on line and checked bank accounts...still can't manage to open, delete or answer my emails, bit peeved, I tend to hang on to things I want so eagerly awaiting visit from DS1 who know everything...or thinks he does not sure which!

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, welcome to all newbies

    Morning all

BM on - made cheese and tomato bread for DH the other day (I don't like tomatoes), its now making cheese and bacon bread and should smell lovely in an hour or two. Washing hung upstairs on the airer as its really misty and miserable outside. Have just made some fairy cakes too, half were coconut and the other half were chocolate chip, but they all sunk to the bottom  never done that before, oh well they will still taste nice. Just had some HM leek and potato soup, mmmm was lovely. Ironing is next on the list.

Am getting excited. This time next week it will be my birthday and I will be in Manchester to watch Man Utd play Sunderland at Old Trafford. Have been a footie fan of Man Utd since I used to drool over George Best (showing my age there) but its the first time I have ever been to a Premiership football match and I can't wait. Also am meeting up with my friend that I met online about 7-8 years ago, who is popping over from Liverpool. We have met up a couple of times before but usually gossip on MSN and it will be lovely to meet up again. Was going up on the Saturday but thanks to Martin and him mentioning about Travelodge doing cheap rooms we have got a £9 room for Friday night :j so its Trafford Centre shopping when we get there lol.

My ironing is giving me the beady eye so had better get going. Have a good day all

  • Good Afternoon All

Hope you are all enjoying your saturdays. I am now, was a bit moany this morning as DD was driving me mad but she has now gone to her friends for a sleepover and DS and OH have been staying out of my way lol.

3 loads of washing done already, 1 loaf of bread has been made and I have tidied my baking cupboard which took a while. Have done a Tesco shop online for delivery Tuesday (and shocked myself again with the prices) and just about to go and clean the bathroom. Just stopped on here while having a coffee.

Have ribs in the slow cooker which we are having tonight with kfc style chicken, chips and coleslaw.

Havnt put anything on ebay though which is very annoying. I find its one of those things that I keep putting off but once I start isnt as bad as I thought it was.

Off now, have a great day.

Oh you lucky thing! You will love it!! One of my son-in-laws is from Sunderland and so obviously supports them! I'd never been to any football match before and he has taken me up a few times....it's absolutely magical!! The rest of my family think I'm nuts! I just LOVE the atmosphere. Son-in-Law is going to the same match as you, along with my DG1...another Mackem (Sunderland supporter if you didnt know). DG cannot wait to go...he is only 8...and nearly beside himself with excitement...although it's not 'cool' to admit lol
Hope you have a wonderful time :T:T

I've been absent from here for a few weeks...been away and have thrown myself into the Flylady thread in the run up to Christmas ...but I still pop on to see how everyone is
Keep warm everyone and have a lovely weekend

Mrs Degree was off sick again yesterday at the thought of helping me, lol.
We now know that we are being ofsteded next week, everyone is in a panic, I worked an hours overtime on Friday to make sure all the paperwork is ready for Monday. I'm feeling sick & stressed, I'm having loads of panic attacks & sleeping with my teeth clenched, still I'm keeping up a brave face, probably too brave as I have had 3 people coming to me in tears, needing a shoulder to cry on.
On a happier note, I made £60 in total for my scarves, got an extra £100 in my paypacket, some arrears that were due & have £40 in Amazon vouchers.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
