It will not automatically qualify you, but it may (in theory) give you sufficient points to pass. However, what will happen in practice is a different matter.
Hopefully it will be fine, but you have to be aware that the system is by no means perfect.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Why is it £100? Is it higher than Incapacity Benefit?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

And we always refer to it as 'passing' a medical - if you think about it, it's actually failing a medical!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

But if you are on long term incapacity benefit and unlikely to work again because of the extent of your disability, you'd be £5 a week better off on the Support Group payment.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

It would appear so.Cheryl0

Unless you get an age addition, whereby you would be worse off on ESA. I imagine that it why they have chosen the figure they have, as a middle ground between the equivalent IB rates.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Does anyone know if you have been on incapacity benefit for the past ten weeks, does it change to the new esa allowance after 13/14 weeks or does it stay the same as the old incapacity rules and change at 28 weeks? Im sorry i find this all so confusing, especially with the worry of them trying to get you back to work with this pathways to work when you are ill. Ive never had anty time off work, but am now incapable due to my health. I know its a good thing to try to get people back to work if they are able, but i dont want to be made to feel guilty for being ill. Any help would be most grateful thanks.Sealed Pot Challenge no. 0920
