  • 'Tis a bit quiet here now. It seems that the action is now on the Icesave ISA threads. Any more opinions out there about the fixed rate paper forms?

Hi all, I've still got an interest in the paper applications but not the ISAs. I opted lo leave a two year fix till maturity.

Ken. What interest were they paying on a 2 year fixed rate?

Me too. Actually six of them, all tiddlers, with between 6 and 28 months left to run. What sort of madness was that?

No doubt it will be quite a while before we get the paperwork - the FSCS must surely (surely??) sort out the enforced paper applications and ISA certificates first?

Actually, you are all correct: leaving the fixers to maturity is not madness at all. It makes sense (I hope!) and I'm v. grateful to have been given the option. The FSCS has got to be as safe as anywhere. But it still feels ever so slightly scary.
    Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes2

I think that the rates varied between 6.5 and 7.06% depending on when you took the bond out.

There was a young lady from Hyde
Who ate a green apple and died.
    The apple fermented
    inside the lamented
and made cider inside 'er inside.

Yup, I know its got nothing to do with anything, and it's old, but it always makes me smile....

Evening all, we went to see the Oxford Street/Regent Street Christmas lights. My they were impressive, but before any Lancashire lads or lasses complain, yes I'm sure they're not a patch on Blackpool's !

Did you know that London is so busy that we even get Pavement Rage ?!!! :rotfl:

By the way, I have a very dirty limerick to share, but would the ladies complain ?
