I had to laugh when I read that Harrowing and st had such a (relatively) small amount invested in Icesave (still don't know how much amistupid is good for!). No wonder you guys were able to keep your humour levels so high during the difficult time.
Actually every penny belonged to my OH  , it was money from an insurance policy that had matured in September. She asked me to wisely invest her hard earned £22,000 savings. I put it in Icesave the week before it went bust!
The funny thing is at the same time I moved two larger sums into the Post Office and Kaupthing Edge (another really close shave). Her's is now earning 4.37% in Nat West. Mine 7.05% in I year fixed rates. In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
I'm sure she was very understanding Ami  :eek:0

My eldest lad got caught speeding 4 months ago, but he was given the option of attending a speed awareness course, which he took. All in all it cost him was about £120 but he kept a clean licence. I think you're only given this "out" if you're not much over the limit. In memory of Chris Hyde #8670

Believe it or not in 25 years I never issued any tickets for speeding, never made the "glamour boy traffic dept". Booked hundreds though for no insurance and dangerous driving. Those traffic boys may have thought they were the kings of the road in their flash BMW jam sandwiches, but I was abit of a demon in the clapped out Proton. :rotfl:In memory of Chris Hyde #8670
