me too I went to a Tech Grammar School -had to pass 11 plus and Boys only until it turned Comp in the 3 rd yesr -but still run the same as before -very strict teachers ,cane, blackboard duster thrown at unruly classmates and threatened with being "slung" down the stairs if do not behave (not me another lad) very tough and worked there was never any trouble 1971-1978 when I left -oh we had a water fight when in upper 6th when at 18 we should had more sense got banned from the upper 6th common room for free periods for a week:eek: never did us any harm.
so I would probsably be locked up as that would be my teaching approach firm!

Sounds very similar to my Grammar School, great "caning tradition" Teachers had gowns, bully boy prefects. flying pieces of chalk, hair no longer than the collar, hours and hours of homework........happy days. :D

Employed, sir. I tried freelancing for a while, hated it...maybe my accountant was weak but found the admin side of it a major hassle.

Thanks for kind words on our company ST. Haven't had to visit client in Tel Aviv yet

Oh I went to a (then strong) Comprehensive. Might have mentioned by 3 brothers went to strong grammar which became fee-paying (and thus out of our reach) just as it was "my turn" !

Had cane (not personally) even at a comprehensive ('78-'85)!

Yeah, 41 - hair loss may have "fooled" you, that started from mid-thirties, not like one of my poor brothers who was thinning from late teens  and not long after started his kojak impersonation!
