It's good, but there is a house a few miles from us with the full monty - lit-up reindeer in the garden, lights galore, so tacky but on a grand scale that makes it amazing.
Anyway,  on-topic alert:eek:  , for anyone who wants to know how the money got paid (source: Guardian, sorry ST)
Despite warnings that the Icelandic government was not prepared to step in to compensate savers, it has agreed to pay the first £18,000 that people lost, with the FSCS topping this up to £50,000 and the UK government covering sums above this amount to make sure no savers lose money.0 -

Yeah, Ewan McGregor had better watch out ....
(I just saw a bit of one of the more recent SW films, I thought the SFX were pretty lousy in places, a lot of the old "let's fly something past a cine screen backdrop" idea)0 -
Moaning all.
Me laddo got home at 5pm, drinking heavily until 2am. Watching QI on Dave for two hours then my xmas prezzie Alan Partridge DVDs, even funny when you're almost out of it. Finished with a huge glass of port, but unfortunately fell asleep holding said beverage. Woke suddenly completely drenched. Had to wash the sofa covers and dry them before my beloved returns. Have managed to get the job done, wouldn't think owt had happened. Haven't yet washed my black T shirt and joggers which caught some of the port splash back, can't see the stains, but I do smel like a well seasoned Chrismas cake.
Some of the port spillage was in the groin area I hope it wasn't "Cockburns" :eek:In memory of Chris Hyde #8670
